Great tour option! Really small group which is nice and the tour guide, Celine explained everything well and was very helpful and friendly. The cost is really good as well.

We started early to see the terracotta warriors, then headed to the wild goose pagoda and then the city wall. From there, you can follow the tour to the muslim street or head pack to your hotel.

Pick up from the hotel is included as well as transportation and ticket pricing. Overall, it was a really great tour experience and i strongly recommend it!

If you look forward to a deep understanding of the history behind the Terracotta Army, you're booking the right experience. Our guide, Celine, did an outstanding job with all her knowledge while taking care of all the details for the group. She secured the best spots for a good view and pictures and guided us smoothly despite how crowded the place was. Our lunch was great. Pickup time occurred at the right time. Highly recommended.

We took the tour of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall with our guide Helen. We were apprehensive about the time and organization. However, our guide Helen provided a great tour. Everything was well organized, with good historical explanations, we had enough time to see the tourist attractions, take photos, eat and even do some shopping. Helen was a great professional, punctual and kind. We recommend it!

If you want to experience the Great Wall away from the crowds and tourist gimmicks, this is highly recommended but it will take the whole day. Oliver was our hiking guide and provided hiking poles and snacks throughout. He is very knowledgeable about each different part of the Great Wall and its historical significance.

Our starting point took two hours drive from Beijing. We then hiked up plenty of stairs for about 1 km before even reaching the Great Wall. But it was so well worth it! There was stunning countryside scenery with very few people. We hiked about 8km along the wall. It was quite steep and slippery at times so the hiking pole is very useful. Shoes with good grip are essential. Oliver gave us plenty of opportunity to end the hike at several turn off points if needed but we continued the whole way to the agreed end point. Then we were taken to a local family restaurant for a delicious and hearty lunch.

It was an incredible experience and definitely more fulfilling than just a quick visit at the tourist crowded side of the Great Wall that is closest to Beijing.

We took a day tour from Shanghai to Zhujiajiao with Sasa as our tour guide. She was amazing and very knowledgeable about the culture and history of Shanghai and its surroundings.

The Water Town is touristy and quite crowded with tourists groups and school groups. There is a central canal that you walk along with boat rides as an option. We visited two private gardens - lovely Chinese architecture and landscaping and blissful to escape the tourist crowds. They are smaller than Yu Gardens in Shanghai but I enjoyed them much more due to the peace and tranquility.

The shops are all touristy but interesting to see the various wares. Overall I felt it was a touristy visit. Sasa was so helpful and went in her own time to get Bund cruise tickets for us as we had trouble booking online.

We found all our various tour guides very helpful and flexible. I highly recommend using this travel company for whichever tour you decide upon.

The Shanghai portion of our Travel China Guide tour was fast paced and guided by Sophie Lee who was outstanding. Sophie’s knowledge and experience of Shanghai were excellent. She took great care of the two of us which allowed use to maximize our time. As our private guide, Sophie was a strong advocate for us whatever and wherever we went. Her English was very good and always explained our itinerary in detail. Her driver and the van were also very good.

I had one full day in Xi’an and this tour was perfect for seeing the must-see Xi’an places. Everything was efficient and Celine, our guide, was very good at making sure everyone had enough time to take in the terracotta warriors and the pagoda. She also explained a lot of the background history and context for what we saw as well as background on Xi’an. She answered all of my questions (and I had a lot) and was kind and informed and spoke great English. Highly recommend this tour.

The weather was excellent and we add an exceptional and beautiful cruise on the river. Our guide (Joanne) and driver were also very good, we did some extra activities after the boat such as cycling. The cruise is a must do when you visit China, the scenery are wonderful, the food on board is not great (take snacks) and drinks very expensive. This is a unique visit that worth the trip to Guilin.

Annie, our private guide in Beijing, was outstanding. With a mega city like Beijing, we needed a knowledgeable, flexible and strong advocate on your side. As an example, when heavy rain interrupted our tour plan one day, Annie was able to rearrange our schedule to maximize our time in Beijing. She also worked hard to make sure we have a wonderful and knowledgeable bicycle rickshaw driver for us to tour the historic Hutong area. Mr. Jong, our private driver was also excellent in navigating the horrendously bad Beijing traffic and always showed up when we needed to be picked up. Overall a five star experience.

Our experience visiting the Terracotta Soldiers exhibit was truly exceptional, thanks to our incredible guide, Carol. She struck the perfect balance between providing fascinating historical context and allowing us the freedom to explore at our own pace. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and thoughtful approach made the tour even more meaningful and memorable. Highly recommend

Our Travel China Guide tour in Guilin/Yangshuo was outstanding not only due to the incredible views but also because of our local guide Samantha. She was extremely knowledgeable and took great care of us. Samantha made sure we maximize our time with all the information and experience of the area which included a visit to an elderly village couple. It was obvious that Samantha cared about this couple and we enjoyed sharing our time with them. The driver was very good as well.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a short stay in Shanghai with our guide Sophie. She spoke excellent English and made sure every group member was taken care of, making sure we had opportunities for things such as bathroom breaks and explaining how to get around Shanghai. I also appreciated her perspective on how it is living in Shanghai today as a young professional.

We have used the services from Travel China Guide to organise a trip for my family and my brother’s family, we were 8 in total (4 adults, 4 kids) and went to Shanghai, Xi’An and Beijing.
The organisation by Travel China Guide was flawless. We stayed 2,5 days in Xi’An with our guide Carol. She is one of the best guides we ever had and thanks to her, we made the best out of those 2 days. She is super professional and shared a lot of knowledge and anecdotes, not only on the cultural things (we visited among other things, the Terracotta army, the 5 peaks mountains, the city walls, the mosque and muslim neighbourhood), but also on China and Chinese people in general, it was super interesting.
The hotel in Xi’An (SOMERSET) was also great, with family suites, swimming pool, gym, foosball, pool table, ping pong table, sauna, steam room - everything to enjoy a well deserved break after a full day of fantastic discoveries.

Had the most amazing time in Beijing. Our tour guide Candy was the best. Her knowledge of history and information for each site we visited during our 3 days in Beijing was extensive. Learned so much. She got us into each venue efficiently. Her personality is friendly, helpful and engaging. Our group was 16 adults and a 9-month old. When we come back for another visit, we’d love for her to be our guide again. Follow Candy!

This is my second time using Travel China guide - but this time with my family (the first time was 10 years ago with a friend), and I am pleased to report the company is every bit as excellent as a I remember.

From the outset, when first making contact with my travel consultant (Emily Xin), communication was prompt and courteous. Emily was kind enough to make necessary amendments to the itinerary, based our needs and requests. When unexpected events arose during our trip, Emily was proactive in notifying us and arranging a suitable solution to the problem.

As for the local guides in each city, the majority were exceptional! Special mention to the following:

- Maggie (in Beijing): She was excellent in ensuring that we were set up with the necessary apps needed to communicate and get around. She thoughtfully provided us with her Wechat contact details and was kind and patient when dealing with our curious children - answering all questions in an engaging and knowledgable way. She expertly navigated us through some very busy crowds safely and efficiently. She also escorted us to the train station at the end our our stay in Beijing, ensuring our transition was as calm and easy as possible.

- Carol (in Xi'an): Another interesting and informative guide, that was so caring and mindful of our children's comfort and needs. I could not fault this lovely lady. My family and I loved Xi'an and look forward to returning one day!

- Spike (in Hangzhou): Another amazing professional, who was incredibly knowledgable and resourceful, as well as playful and energetic when engaging with our children. It was a shame we only had such a short time together!

- Pan (last day in Shanghai): This gentleman took us on an incredible breakfast food tour. His local knowledge was unparalleled, as he took us to fabulous stalls and eateries frequented by locals - food was incredible and we would not have been able to experience something like this if we were doing this trip on our own.

For first time visitors to China (travelling solo, with friends or as a family), I would not hesitate to recommend this company to you. Everything was taken care of, and transition between cities was effortless. All vehicles were clean, comfortable and well maintained and drivers were all safe and efficient. We are considering using this company again for future visits to other cities in China, as well as other neighbouring countries.

Linda Xie was a wonderful tour guide! We learned so much at all of the sites we visited- she was so knowledgeable! She was especially helpful with our 89 year old family member. She helped her in and out of the van and also during the tour. We saw so many sites and the timing was perfect. She stayed with us for hours at the train station to make sure we could get to the train via elevator with the wheelchair. We would happily take a tour with her again. Our driver, Mr Hao, was great! He made sure we were close to our destination and helped get the wheelchair in and out. He managed the traffic so well and his driving made us all completely comfortable. We had an amazing time!

I was very satisfied with this tour. It was comprehensive covering all aspects of Chinese history and culture from various angles. The tour itself was not too long yet not too sure either. Our tour guide was Roger who was exceptional at what he does. Roger is a wealth of information and he is able to convey what he knows in a manner that is both fun and keeps you entertained. Additionally, he’s able to avoid crowds, find great locations for photos and provide tips throughout the day to make it a memorable tour for everyone involved. Finally, our pick up was on time and the whole tour itself was very well organized. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the development and continuous redevelopment of China.

Judy was our travel guide for our day tour as a family group of 5. She was fun and vivacious and so knowledgeable about the history of China and the significance of Xian in its history.

Our first stop was the Terracotta Warriors - it is a chaotic crowded place, but Judy showed great care in making sure we didn’t get separated or lost. She took us to specific spots and explained the details and historical significance of different artefacts. Then we had a delicious lunch at a local teahouse.

Our next two stops were the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Bazaar with the Grand Mosque. Again we were told background historical, cultural and religious details.

It was a very enjoyable day. You just have to accept the crowds at Xian and make the best of it, but the travel guidance for our small group was most valuable. Judy also gave us personal gifts as commemoration of our short visit to Xian.

Highly recommended travel agency - you must ask for Judy as your guide!

I joined a full day tour among a group of 11. We first took the minibus to see the Terracotta Army - it was expectedly crowded but well managed, and the sights and history were fantastic. After lunch we travelled back to the city and visited the Great Wild Goose Pagoda which has beautiful buildings and rose gardens, and then the City Wall museum and up on top of the wall. I left the group at this point and rented a bicycle to circumnavigate the 16km route (1.5 hours at a very comfortable speed). It’s worth noting that entry to these 3 sites is included in the tour price. Our tour guide Celine did a fine job explaining the history and managing our schedule. Highly recommended.

The best way to see China, Celine was amazing and made this experience perfect. Her knowledge, experience and expertise gave myself and the rest of the group the best of China. She knew exactly where to get the best photos spots and we had front row seats at all the shows. Celine even helped me contacting the airline on my behalf to find my jacket I lost. I did alot of researching before booking this tour and Trust me Travel China live up to there reputation, the best and only way to see China!

Amazing experience! I went solo and was picked directly up from my hotel lobby. Wasn’t pressured to buy anything from shops like you are on some tours. Rocky (our guide) was very helpful and enthusiastic throughout our tour! Would highly recommend!

The tour we did was absolutely amazing and so well organised for the start to the finish. All of the guides and drivers were brilliant, knowledgeable and friendly. The assistance throughout the planning stage of our trip was faultless too, everything was completely tailored to our requirements and no request was too much trouble. The sights we saw on our journey through China will stick with us for the rest of our lives. We had a fabulous day with the excellent Mary and her driver. Visiting Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and then the Wall, Mary's help and guidance was invaluable. Pick up was as arranged and the tour itself was without a hitch despite the huge crowds and large group that Mary had to keep happy. Commentary was excellent. Lunch at the Wall was lovely and our visit climbing the Wall was fascinating. Would definitely recommend for a hassle free day in visiting these places in Beijing that would be very difficult to arrange independently as a foreigner. Thanks Mary (and the driver) for your hard work in what was a real highlight for us.

We, a group of five, had a 17 days tour organised by Travel China Guide. I contacted a few travel companies and decided to stay with Emily Xin, a super friendly and helpful travel consultant. The planning of the tour was a long process, but Emily was so patient and attended to all our queries and even helped us with issues that were not related to her company, e.g. selection of our seats on the planes, flights cancellation and refund issues as we booked our own flights. She made sure we were well looked after in every city and always in contact with the tour guides. Our group was so impressed with her efficiency and we called her 'the Super Emily'. I had one of the best experiences in my life. We were accompanied by Mr. Li SUN who was patient and always going the extra mile for us. Our tour took place in Beijing including famous sightseeing like the Great Chinese Wall, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and more. Mr Li SUN helped us with all the uncertainties that we came across before our trip and among it.

Our guide was Roger Yan and he was absolutely fantastic. Roger is a true shaanxi local - he was unfailingly polite and exceedingly knowledgeable about imperial Chinese history and all things related to Xian. The terracotta warriors and the city wall did not disappoint - cycling with my kids on the ancient Ming dynasty walls will definitely rank as one of my highlights in China. Roger even helped us get great seats at discounted prices at the Camel show ( definitely recommended ) and then provided us transport to and from the event ( extending his day by over 3 hours )

We were guided around Xi’an by Lily who was outstanding. In addition to being very knowledgeable and entertaining with excellent English, she knew precisely how to avoid spending a lot of time in lines and shortcuts to avoid crowds. The Terra Cotta warriors lived up to expectations and Lily knew exactly where we should go for the best views and photo opportunities. She also had a great restaurant to go to for lunch. Other highlights included the city walls and the big goose pagoda. Halfway through our trip China Travel Guide is exceeding our expectations.

My tour guide, Roger Yang was incredibly helpful and thorough. He even helped me to procure a SIM card, so I was able to get connected to data-web in China. The local SIM card allowed me to use WeChat Weixin to pay for things in China with my cellphone seamlessly. All the tour spots in my itinerary, like Terracotta Army Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall Park, Great Mosque & Muslim Quarter were eye-opening and amazing. The evening dinner & musical show "The Empress of the Great Tang" recommendation he made was so far above my expectation. At the end of my Xi'An trip he also escorted me inside the train station to make sure I'd get on the correct train plus what station to get off. I enjoyed my Xi'An so much. Kudzu to Roger! Job well done.
