Our day tour in Shanghai was a great experience and Juliet was an excellent guide. She was very informative and we enjoyed our time with her. The restaurant for lunch she chose was delicious and very reasonably priced. A great way to experience Shanghai in a day.

I had a great experience on this day trip. The national park is stunning and we were able to see quite a lot of fantastic views. The tour guide, Megane, was a great guide. She was very nice, informative, and spoke fluent English. She also helped my group pick our lunch spot which had a lot of delicious authentic Chinese dishes.

Our time in Beijing was limited, just four days really, but we managed to spend time at Tiananmen Square, walked along The Great Wall of China, explored the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park, the Temple of Heaven plus the Summer Palace. We even squeezed in a class on making dumplings, and hutong meanderings.
Our guide, Barry, was excellent. The places he took us for food were very good, with a nice variety of cuisine and very reasonable prices.
His knowledge of each place we visited was excellent, and we both learned a lot about China and its history and culture.
Additionally, Barry’s help at the hotel and the airports was also so valuable, making the whole experience smooth and memorable.

Our tour of Zhangjiajie was absolutely fantastic! The city itself is peaceful and set in a stunning location among the mountains. Be prepared for a lot of walking, but it's completely worth it for the once-in-a-lifetime natural scenery.
Our guide, Jason, was wonderful- he provided detailed information and shared fascinating stories about the region and its minority cultures. He even arranged for us to see a local theater show.
Overall, we highly enjoyed both the destination and all the activities. A highly recommended experience!

We spent two days with Helen and could not have been more pleased. Helen is extremely knowledgeable and informative regarding the history and culture of Shanghai and made sure we saw all the important sights. She was always considerate of our interests and made sure our trip was as comfortable as possible. Travel China did an excellent job with arrangements and the prepaid meals were delicious and always more food than we could eat. Highly recommend this company and Helen.

We have been traveling around Asia by ourselves and on and off we book day tours. Today our tour went far beyond our expectations not just because the places we visited were spectacular but because our guide Jackie (Chinese name I think Dong), was wonderful!
Jacky spoke great English, which is not too common around China, was very informative, friendly, knowledgeable and brought the history of the places alive to us.
I wish we could take him with us to our next stops!!!
Xi An is an amazing city which unique places to see.

What an AMAZING trip! We were greeted by Oscar at the train station and personally escorted to our waiting vehicle and driver. We had beautiful accommodations at the Shangri-La hotel. We were then treated over several days to amazing adventures to see sites such as Longsheng and the Dragon's Backbone Terraces and a day cruise on the Li River. We also visited a local minority village where we were welcomed in and visited with a very beautiful and accommodating local family. We very much enjoyed an amazing lunch with tea while on our day trip. Our trip to Yangshuo and cruise on the Li River was an event of a lifetime! Words cannot describe the beauty of this part of China. Our stay at Yitian West Street hotel was perfect. Beautiful town with a vibrant nightlife. Be sure to try the local beer fish as it is delicious! Oscar was a consummate professional. He exceeded any expectations we had and was willing to go out of his way to accommodate all our needs. Our accommodations were amazing. We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the center of the city. We enjoyed a tour of Shanghai Tower which had an incredible view of the city. Day cruise, beautiful lunch, tea tasting and shopping helped round out our first day. The second day we made a drive to the famous Tongli Water Town. What a history lesson to be had! The most incredible lunch with tea and live music was had at a local restaurant. A peaceful and much needed relaxing day. Our tour guide Bonnie was a gracious host with vast knowledge about both Shanghai and China. Our stay in Shanghai was a highlight of our China trip!

Our guided tour in Xi’an was an unforgettable experience! Visiting the Terracotta Army, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the impressive City Wall was truly fascinating, but what made the day even more special was our guide, Jacky. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. His knowledge and explanations brought each site to life, and his warm personality made us feel comfortable and well taken care of from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better way to explore such a wonderful city. Highly recommended!

We had Carol as our tour guide and she was the best! My mom and I enjoyed our day with her at the Terracotta Warriors museum as well as the Pagoda and City Walls. I highly recommend her - she was organized and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Chinese history in a short amount of time. Hope we are able to return to Xian sometime in the future.

Our time in Beijing was a wonderful experience. We visited many of the city’s highlights, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and the hutong area with its narrow alleys and rickshaw ride. The day at the Mutianyu Great Wall was especially memorable. Although it rained, the misty atmosphere made the scenery even more beautiful and unique. Everything was well organized, which allowed us to simply enjoy each moment. We were very happy to have William (Wang Wei) as our guide during these days. He was attentive and helpful, making our time in Beijing both comfortable and memorable.Highly recommended.

Our guide, “Rocky,” was friendly, spoke English, and was impressively knowledgeable. He equipped each of us with an earpiece at the Forbidden City, which made it easy to follow along with his detailed explanations without missing a word.

Rocky also handled the upfront payments for lunch and the Great Wall gondola, which kept the day running seamlessly. (Tip: if you book this tour less than a week before your arrival, you may need to purchase your own tickets at the gate.)

Be aware that passports are required and must be physically scanned for entry at several sites, so have them handy.

The bus was comfortable, with air conditioning and bottled water provided, and our group of 16 felt like the perfect size—not too large, but still social. Overall, it was a well-organized, informative, and enjoyable experience.

Excellent small group tour. Lots of fascinating history. Terracotta Soldier museum is incredible and massive! Met the farmer who discovered the soldiers back in 1974. A must see while in Xi’an. Big wild goose pagoda is beautiful and the City Wall is an engineering marvel. Muslim Bazaar is bustling and is filled with a lot of food and activity. Roger, our guide, was outstanding. He is filled with unlimited knowledge of the area and historical sites and kept us well informed between places we visited. He was very accommodating to all guests requests for drop offs and gave us good recommendations for food and a show after the tour. Roger went above and beyond our expectations. Well done!

We had a short amount of time in Beijing but wanted to do some of the key sights. It is excellent & I would highly recommend it.

It's quite a long day, but over so quickly as we got to see so much & got great commentary from Rocky, our guide for the day. However, you are kept moving throughout the day but don't feel like you miss anything.

Tiananman Square & The Forbidden City make up most of the morning & whilst they were busy, we missed nothing as we were supplied with an earpiece to hear our guide.

The Great Wall is stunning & we got to spend a good couple of hours to take in the sights in our own time. Our guide then gave us an overview of the history of the wall on the way back to Beijing.

Our guide, Rocky, was very knowledgeable & humourous. He kept us moving at just the right pace so that we could take it all in but kept us to time - a great guide.

The added bonus on this trip was that there were no shopping stops, it delivered exactly what it said it would. A great overview of 3 of the key sights in & around Beijing.

I was lucky to spend an unforgettable day with Kaia, an absolutely incredible guide. She is not only very professional but also funny, caring, and full of energy. Her explanations were always clear, interesting, and easy to remember, which made the tour even more enriching.
By far, she is the best guide I’ve had in China: she knows how to create a warm and friendly atmosphere while sharing her knowledge with passion.

We had a great trip today to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and then to the Great Wall. Our tour guide was Helen, she was amazing! Really professional and so friendly. Her English is excellent and I appreciated how she provided context on what we were looking at, bringing alive an era I had only a very patchy knowledge of. She also made things really clear about logistics decisions that needed to be made as a result of unexpected issues. I joined the tour with three work mates, the others on the tour were lovely people from all over the world. We appreciated that we had Helen in charge, I doubt it would have been possible for us to see so much in one day without being on this tour. The buffet lunch we all had prior to the Great Wall, was delicious!! Our time on the Wall was incredible, it was a misty rain day by then so there very few people, it was magical!! On the way back into town, while we relaxed, Helen was making arrangements to ensure everyone made it to where they needed to be on time. She went above and beyond for sure!

Carol and her company are very good tour guide services to use. We had a last minute emergency and they allowed us to switch date of tour even though that was within non-cancellable period.
Carol is a very good and detailed guide. She explained the history and key things to see before and during our Terracotta tour start. During the tour she accommodated anything we want to do and see, including getting our picture taken to be part of the movie/story program which was a very interesting experience for us.
The tour also covered the Pagoda City wall and Muslim Bazaar. Carol did the same things to explain the background before and during the visit, At the Pagoda temple she explained background/history of each rooms' display. Such services really allowed us to appreciates the places and statue are representing, and making the tour even more enjoyable and worthwhile.

The 2 day tour was great, our guide, Kaia was so sweet and so pretty! She communicated perfectly and the tour went so smoothly. She was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the two days. Definitely wear comfy clothes & shoes, as you’ll be walking a ton. Overall, a great experience. Thank you to our driver + Kaia for making my Zhangjiajie experience lovely

We did a quick tour of chengdu as our overall itinerary was time limited and were left with a feeling of really having seen the highlights as well as knowing a lot more about the local culture.

She even adjusted our route on the fly to include the peoples park, even though we did not originally have it planned.

Its is our first time in China. Linda Xie was our tour guide in Beijing and was amazing. Our tour was in English. She was always smiling and making sure we were fine and if we needed to use the toilet. Linda was knowledgeable and answered our questions. We visited the Great Wall , Forbidden City and many other places. Pekin Duck was delicious in the restaurant included with the tour. Very recommend this tour with Linda Xie in Beijing.

First time to China. Tours were wonderful in Beijing, Xiian and Shanghai. Special mention to our tour guide in Xiian, Celine. Celine welcomed our group in then Xiian airport and helped us with our luggage and gave us detailed information regarding our stay and activities for Xiian. Well spoken English and answered our questions. She was friendly and explained the food we were eating. She was wonderful. We hope you get Celine as tour guide in Xiian. Also our driver, Mr. Lee, in Xiian was great! I am recommending my friends when traveling to China to select Travel China Guide agency!!

Excellent tour! Excellent guide! Our guide Roger is very knowledgeable of the history of the area and the locations we visited. His interesting background stories added an extra layer of entertainment to our tour. His knowledge of the location made the tour go smoothly: from where to take the perfect picture, where the find a great souvenir or when to arrive to a place to minimize the time to wait in line.

This was really the highlight of my whole experience in China!
Helen was the most caring guide from the beginning towards the end, so kind and helpful. She gave some very good insights about Chinese history and culture throughout and even though we had the tour in an atypical day she worked around all the hiccups presented in the most professional and flawless way. Communication was assertive and clear from the day prior to the tour to the endm I am so happy to have seen one of the WONDERS OF THE WORLD in this tour. Absolutely amazing experience! A dream came true! Went up by cable car North Gate and came down the mountain via Eastern Gate. Very proud of my husband who’s done the trip after recovering from bowel cancer surgery!
And what a fantastic Guide was Mary! She was truly helpful with our internet troubles and she gave us so much information in regards of the history of the wall and the Chinese dynasties. We had beverages and snacks along the way and although outside was 30 degrees, we had conquered the wall . Amazing lady ! Strongly recommend Mary to everyone!

My wife and I had a fantastic day on a tour led by our wonderful guide, Carol. Picked up by mini bus from our hotel in the heart of Xi’An first thing in the morning, we arrived at the Terracotta Army site relatively in the morning before the crowds got too busy, and Carol gave us a very detailed and interesting running commentary while we walked around the site (as well as at the Big Wild Goose Payoda and Xi’An City Wall (and museum) later in the day). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Xi’An and wanting to get a great English-speaking guide while being smoothly shown around the big sites in this amazing and historic city.

We had the best day at Tianmen Mountain as part of our 2 day tour! ! It was such a beautiful place and our tour guide Kaia did an excellent job at looking after everyone and ensuring we had time to see all of the incredible sights Tianmen mountain has to offer. We loved our travel experience in Beijing with our guide Lilyshang. She is an excellent guide in all respects. She provided outstanding information at every site and answered all our questions thoroughly. Lily is organized, efficient, and very pleasant. She was able to handle our family of 6 (including a toddler and an infant) with ease facilitating all of our needs. Lily directed us to the most advantageous spots for viewing and taking photos while negotiating crowded places. She balanced every day with great visits to significant places and nice eating venues with a delicious variety of local Chinese cuisine. She offered additional suggestions when we had the time and responded to our needs. We highly recommend Lilyshang. She is terrific in every way!

It’s our first time visiting China, and our Guilin tour guide, Lily Cao, was very knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and explained everything thoroughly while visiting Guilin and its vicinity places such as Yangsuo village. Lily is very knowledgeable, speaks/explains everything in English and in Chinese, and takes us to see a cultural show (paid extra fee), eat local authentic Guilin rice noodles. Try both of their salad and soup version of Guilin rice noodles. You’ll love it. Lily takes great pictures as selfie sticks aren’t allowed in most crowded places. Highly recommended!

Our small Group Tour included Beijing - Xi'an - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise - Yichang – and Shanghai. Since we had never used this travel agency and we booked it from Canada, we were a bit worried about how things might go. There was no need to worry. I hardly ever write reviews (for lack of time), but I thought this company deserves to get a positive review.

My husband and I really enjoyed the trip. The organization was great, the sites selected are spectacular, the guides were good, and (with one exception) the hotels were very good. In Beijing, the tour included an acrobatic show at the Red Theater that was truly amazing. The dinner with a show in Xi’an was really nice as well. We give 5 stars to two people involved in this trip:

First to Wendy Lee, the travel consultant who responded to our query and organized the trip. She is great: always responded in a timely manner, was happy to accommodate our requests -from extra days to vegan food-, and was kind and professional, always making sure our trip went well. If she is available, we plan to rely on her for other trips.

Second, 5 stars go to our guide in Xi’an, Carol Chen. I can truly say that Carol is the best guide we ever had in over 30 years of travel. She provided clear and specific information about the tour, she explained things very well, she was very attentive to everyone’s needs, and she was kind and professional in dealing with everyone in our group. From talking to others in our group, I know that they also considered her the best guide in the tour. Even during the visit to the Terracotta Warriors Museum in a day that was hot and very crowded, Carol made sure we had a good experience. Thanks to her, we all left with wonderful memories from Xi’an. Thank you Carol!
