The trip was really great. The square and the forbidden city were really busy, luckily we had a very good tour guide. Helen knows how to move easily through all the crowd. She also is good in explaining the history stories in a good way.
What I like about this trip is that it's only with a small group of people, which makes it fast, flexible and you have the opportunity to get to know each other.
In the afternoon we went to the Great wall. Although it was a little sweaty, it is a beautiful place that I will never forget!

I was recommended by my good friend to try Travel China Guide after she had a good experience with their guide in Dec 2024. My entire experience from the first touch point, to planning of itinerary, to finalising the details, payment and finally arriving in Beijing for the actual tour was a positive one. The terracotta army is an amazing experience. Be ready for large crowds, but to see it is amazing! We did the 3 pits and the special exhibition and it did not disappoint. I think having a guide is a must, our guide Celine was amazing, she gave us so much context behind all the exhibitions and was happy to answer any of our questions.

The Wild Goose Pagoda was also impressive and again the context that Celine gave us really helped to enhance the experience.

The Xi'an wall is also really impressive. Unfortunately it was too hot to stay there for very long, but Celine gave us recommendations on how we cna watch it at night.

Overall, the entire trip is a must if you're going to Xi'an!

Highly recommended! Helen was an amazing host with advance language skills and sense of humour. She paid attention to your needs and went extra mile multiple times. Melody was a excellent coordinator.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from comfortable transportation to break times. Despite a hot day we had fun which resulted in creating friendships with other people on the tour.

I only had one full day to spend on Beijing and this tour was ideal to see the main highlights. It's a feat to cover all three sights in one day but our guide Helen expertly navigated us through the large crowds and various queues and ensured that we maximized the time we had at each sight. She was also very informative, friendly and helpful. We had enough time at the Great Wall for a good walk along the wall and were able to do this independently rather than have to stay with the group. The van was comfortable and the group small enough (12) as to be manageable. All in all a great day in Beijing and many iconic sights see. Thank you Helen!

Helen was an amazing guide! She made sure that all of our needs were met and did a great job explaining the sites and the history as well as adding in funny anecdotes along the way.

She did an incredible job facilitating with all the official interactions; she made sure that our type stayed on schedule while still providing all the time needed for hydration (super hot), rest (we walked 18000 steps) as well as photo opportunities (she even take on great photo duties to ensure you have dinner great family photos); made great recommendations for shopping and meals.

The Terracotta Army is a must see, when visiting (eastern) China. We combined it with a visit to the ancient city of Pingyao, and to Beijing, which is good to do by bullet train. Travel China Guide offered an interesting package of some Xi'an city sightseeing and the Terracotta Army, and to do this with a small group (13 in our case) in the morning proved to be a good choice. Tourguide Celine picked us up on time from our hotel with a comfortable aircon bus and a happy approach. Celine gave us on the way to-, and at the site, a lot of useful information. Being there in the morning saved a bit of crowd, and as this is a major popular place, it makes a difference. Tips for where to look, how to secure a good photospot were ultimate. Both at the Terracotta Army, as well as at the city sightseeing, Celine surprised us with information on names, events, places that we thought we knew.. and she added new information. I saw Celine taking care of everyone in the group incl kids. She listened, answered, was patient, and surprised in a positive way. Travel China Guide, and the city of Xi'an can be happy with Celine, and we were delighted with this tour and her service.

It was an amazing experience, we had Helen as our tour for 2 days. Both days were hot, but Helene arranged accordingly to make sure we are comfortable. The architectures of Forbideen City, the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace are extraordinary. We were also amazed by the beauty of the Great Wall. Our trip to Zhangjiajie was unforgettable, thanks to our wonderful guide, Tracy. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything smooth—from navigating the cable cars to showing us the best viewpoints of the stunning mountains.

I had such a wonderful experience—I think I saw the most important sights in Beijing and completely fell in love with the city. Visiting China had always been a dream of mine, and I had a beautiful experience thanks to the tour. Helen, our guide, was amazing at all times. Always resourceful, helping you with EVERYTHING—and when I say everything, I really mean everything.

She took photos of me when I was alone, always thinking of those little details. She helped me a lot with transportation to and from the excursions, helped me get home or to wherever I needed to go, and even found food I liked for today because I don’t really enjoy Chinese food haha.

When I read the reviews about Travel China Guide I could not believe that these were true. They all were very positive. Now I can confirm that the whole personnel of Travel China Guide - guides, drivers and consultants - are excellent. The best example of how much the company cares about its clients was my son's birthday. They surprised us with a lovely birthday cake! Especially I would like to highlight our guide Queena in Beijing. She made our stay extraordinary. She has not only excellent knowledge of history but she also could answer all the thousand questions we had. Thanks to her our train travel to Xian and back went smoothly.

Also many thanks to Lola, our guide in Xian. Although our trip to Terracotta warriors was very short, we enjoyed every minute.

The tour was perfectly organized by Travel China Guide which gave to us 4 really professional guides and drivers (2 in Lanzhou and 2 for the remaining part of the tour). Drivers were one-time and always driving safely, guides were knowledgeable, friendly and always available to give us advices. Hotels chosen were centrally located and of a good quality. Luckily the weather was sunny and places visited were all worth it

What to say about Zhangjiajie with our guide Weifang (Ivy)? Amazing trip that allowed us to visit the Avatar Mountains and it’s surroundings, Fenghuang, Furong and the Tianmen Mountain. But besides the natural beauties , we also learned a lot from Weifang about those places and got to know more about the culture and the people, and that added a lot to the overall experience. If you ever come to China we highly recommend the visit to Zhangjiajie with Weifang

We did a private customised 9 day trip from Xi'An to Luoyang and Beijing, ur guide in Xi'An was Carol. She was such a fantastic guide who was super meticulous with her planning. She paid attention to what we need as we had elderly and young kids as well in the group. She made sure that all our of needs were met. In her introduction of the places we went, plus the time in the bus, she always made the effort to provide us with interesting stories and the history of Xi'An. We learnt alot from her and thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. Fully recommend that you should request for Carol as your guide if you book your Xi'An tour with Travel China Guide. We had Cissy in Luoyang, she was also very attentive and gentle. Was very accomodating to our needs as well as we were getting tired from walking. She tried her best to still explain to us the sights but gave us ample time to rest when needed. We also learnt alot about the history of Luoyang which was new to us. In Beijing we had David as our guide. One can tell that David is an extremely experienced guide. His knowledge is vast. We had pleasant surprise when we rode the rickshaw in Hutong and also visited an actual home. Quite different from your usual touristy stuff. Similarly, due to our group having elderly and kids who got tired easily, David was accomodating to our needs and suggested ways to make our trip easier and more pleasant. Overall, very pleasant experience from the time we booked our tour with Emily Xin who was our consultant. She was always responsive on emails and WeChat. Thank you to each of you.

We get an amazing tour of Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Great Wall Mutianyu side. Helen our guide is seasoned and kept us on time, guiding us to the best spots. It is unbelievable all that we covered in a day. I also enjoyed the amazing group of people from all parts of the world.

My family and I chose a 9-day private tour to Beijing, Xian and Chengdu. We are satisfied with the tour - choice of hotel, itinerary, guides and drivers. Special mention to our guide Lily who did the Xian leg. She is very professional, knowledgeable and is also passionate in her delivery. She provided superb information which kept us, even my children, interested in Chinese history. Excellent guide and trip! We loved visiting the Panda Center and Leshan Buddha with Bella. She knew many facts and the sights were incredible! The Panda center is amazing and seeing both Giant and Red pandas is a perk. Bella also gave us directions for a walking tour of Chengdu that had amazing spots and sights. Make sure you take the time to see it all! Highly recommend and we will come back.

Really enjoyed this family trip especially the 3days 2nights in Xi’an. Very interesting activities such as terracotta clay making and joining the locals for morning exercises at the city wall park. Our guide Ms Tracy is very knowledgeable and patient with our group which includes both old folks and teenagers. She is always ready to answer our questions.

Our tour guide in Guilin was Kim. He helped us enjoy all Guilin area had to offer. On our first day, he took us to Longshen rice terraces, which is a beautiful area. On the second day, we took a Li River cruise, enjoyed the beautiful karst hills along the way. The boat and the trip down the river was very nice. We came on shore in Yangshuo, Kim got us bikes, which we rode along the Yulong river. The view from the bridge on the river and along the bike path were incredible. On Kim's suggestion, we attended the Romance show. We really enjoyed this show, which was about the history of the Yangshuo area. On our last day, we went up the Yao mountain in a cable car. The views from the top were amazing. That day, we also stopped by the Reed Flute Cave, which was an enormous caves with beautiful rock formations. Some reviews I had read earlier had made me question whether this cave was worth it but we really enjoyed it. All in all, we enjoyed our time in Guilin tremendously thanks to Kim, he is a very friendly, knowledgeable local guide. We are glad we went with China Travel Guide, everything was perfect.

The itinerary of this tour is very well organized, we managed to see everything and more, we got time for the zip lane and slide. Phoenix was our tour guide. She took care of absolutely everything. I felt really relax doing this tour with her. She even bought our tickets for the zip lane and the slide, leaving us stress-free, just moments for enjoyment. Phoenix was very approachable and answer any questions we had. She can also give you tips of what to visit or what activities to do in Hunan. Phoenix also went above and beyond when I forgot sunglasses in the lunch restaurant and she brought it back to my hotel, she is an star!!! I hope you have Phoenix as your guide if you book this tour.

Simple. What is offered is what you get. The tour was amazing and followed the itinerary so well that we (my family) enjoyed every single minute of the trip. The transportation is good quality, you have unlimited water supply (summer is really hot), and even we got a snicker bar (levee it).

Lisa, our tour guide, was so nice, funny, and had full context of the places, years, anecdotes, etc. Also, she always tries to find a way to fix every small issue with world class professionalism (in my case, how to pay the cable car since my Alipay account was not working).

Absolutely amazing tour of Beijing with our guide Barry! From pickup to drop off everything was smooth we LOVED our tour of The Great Wall - had it to ourselves and walked 3 miles along it! (Shorter options available). Summer Palace, Forbidden City and other sights were incredible and Barry had great information about them all. While not included the restaurants he took us to were delicious and authentic! Absolutely great tour for our family of 5!

Zhiangjiajie is absolutely incredible and out of this world. LJ is an incredible guide able to keep up with our fast paced travel style. He was able to show us all of the amazing sights and some secret ones as well. His knowledge of the area was great. We loved the National Park cable car, elevator and hikes plus the Tianmen Mountain area where we spent over 4 hours. Boat ride in Baofung lake is gorgeous, saw giant salamanders. Our family of 5 including 3 teens loved every minute! We will definitely come back. Gorgeous views we were sad to leave and will be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Shanghai. Our tour was not only educational but also highlighted things that were interesting and important to our family. It was an amazing trip with our guide Tony. He shared with us all his knowledge about Guilin and Yangshuo and took us to do the boat trip down the Li River to see de amazing landscapes there. He also made posible for us to do a bamboo raft trip along Yangshuo and that was amazing. Finaly he took us to see the elephant trunk hill and the reed flute cave and we loved it! Thank You Tony!
