Day 01Beijing - Lijiang

Today you will take a flight from Beijing to Lijiang by yourself. The air tickets are on our arrangement. Our local guide will warmly greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, you will have a visit of the Lijiang Ancient Town. The Square Street is the heart of the town, with four main streets leading to different directions and more branches from them, connecting every corner of the town with the square. While walking through the old town, you could have a stroll on the stone-paved Square Street, appreciating the beautiful natural sceneries and the distinctive local residences.

Day 02Lijiang

Today, you will explore the scenic Lijiang. Firstly visit the Baishui River (White Water River) which is formed by runoff from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The water is extremely clean and the white riverbed can be seen clearly. After that, travel to the Dry Sea, which is located at the east foot of the elegant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. As is implied by its name, the Dry Sea was once a lake but later dried up. Nowadays, it is a natural grazing ground covered by carpet-like meadow. Then, you will take the cable car to Spruce Plateau, which is a verdant lawn hiding behind a primeval spruce forest. It is a beautiful and tranquil fairyland under heaven. Here, you may also overlook the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which are the closest snow mountains to the equator. Its highlights are the thirteen snowy peaks.

Getting down from the Spruce Plateau, you will head for Baisha Village, which is the former political, economic and cultural center of Lijiang. There are some magnificent ancient buildings in the village. Here, visiting a local Naxi family will appease your curiosity about the customs and living habits of Chinese minority groups. After that, enjoy Baisha Murals, a well-known local art form and the ones in Dabaoji Palace and the Colored Glaze Temple are among the best. You will also visit the Baisha Embroidery Store. Today's last stop is the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. This great geographer is the first person introducing the virgin Lijiang to the Occident.

Day 03Lijiang - Kunming

Our guide will see you off at the airport for your morning flight to Kunming, also called the 'Spring City' because of its nice weather all year round. It is also a clustering place of Chinese ethnic minorities with diversified culture. Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at Kunming Airport and transfer you to the hotel. After a rest, you will be transferred to visit the Stone Forest, a natural wonder known as the 'World Karst Landscape Museum' as well as a hot destination for visitors both from home and abroad. The scenic area mainly consists of Major Stone Forest, Minor Stone Forest, Naigu Stone Forest and Long Lake which display various stone formations in shapes of animals, plants and even human figures. You will marvel at the splendor of these natural formations when touring it. Before transfering you back to hotel, you will enjoy and rest yourself for a while at a Tea House.

Day 04Departure from Kunming

Our guide will see you off at Kunming Airport. Your pleasant China tour ends here. Wish you a pleasant trip!
