Mr.Robert replied:

yes, Ecuadorians require visa to visit China. You can't apply for the tourist visa at the airport upon arrival. The visa-on-arrival is very hard to get, please read the Visa on Arrival (Visa Issued at Entry Ports) on this website http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/service.htm

Sep. 22,2009 04:58
Ms.Esthela Zambrano(Ecuador) replied:

Mr Robert,

Many thanks for your advice. Can I ask the Ecuadorian Embassy in China to give me some kind of support to get an invitation letter issued by Chinesse authorities?

Looking forward of seeing your feedback.

Rgards,

Esthela

Sep. 22,2009 20:45
Mrs.Kayla replied:

Ms.Esthela Zambrano, you can have a try. However, as far as I know, the invitation letter should from your partner, friend or family members in China.

Sep. 30,2009 14:40
Mr.Mohamad(Marroco) replied:

The Ambassador Mr. Washington Hago never helps...and if you give them a letter from the embassy they will require stamps and harder procedures...better to ask a friend or a hotel or something..

I'm afraid only the Ecuador can give you exact answer. If you are not able to get contact with them directly, try to contact a travel agency for help.

Recently there have been a lot of complains about FAKE ecuadorian VISAS to Ecuador.
Please be careful, make sure the consul and the Ambassador " Washington Hago@ certify the visas or give you some guarantee about it. AND NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY EVEN IF THEY ASK.

After a lot of interviews this is what I learned:

a. You need visa if you are from:
Algeria, Bangladesh, Korea of the North, Korea of the Rich Sur,Costa, China, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lbano, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistn, Palestine, Panam, Syrian, Sri Lanka, Sudn, Tnez, Vietnam, Yemen, or Venezuela.

b.
If your nationality is different to those mentioned here, you can start making baggage, and carry out a maintenance to your bike and be ready to travel.

c.
If you need to speak about important visa issues or other matters in the embassy of Ecuador in Beijing be adviced that the ambassador only know spanish, not a word of English or Chinese. Maybe it is better if you contact other members of the embassy or ask for a translator that you trust. Believe me on this one.

d.
Never let anybody charge you for the visa , be careful with that. Nowadays Ecuador rules are very strict and you can get in trouble if you have paid for something besides the ones that are required.

Good luck.
Sara

Be adviced that if you go to the embassy of Ecuador in China, the ambassador does not speak English or Chinese, only spanish. So you better go talk with the translators or the other employees, unfortunately that is the only truth about the previous comments.

Mr.Juan(China) replied:

Mr. Asif if you want to talk about the visa please don't speak with the ambassador, he does not understand Chinese or English.
Please know that you DO NOT NEED a visa to go to Ecuador and since you are NOT Chinese, you don't need a tour ....be careful dont let the ambassador charge you anything.

Sep. 2,2009 20:39
Mrs.Adeline replied:

Mr. Juan, how do you say that? As far as I know, the ambassadors do know English. Meanwhile, it is the ambassador who will issue the visa for you, if you don't get in touch with them, how can you get the visa?

Sep. 5,2009 21:41
Mr.Juan(Beijing) replied:

Mrs. Adeline,

No, unfortunately the ambassador does not know a word of Englir nor Chinese....no way! I have gone there so I know, the person in charge for the visa luckly is not the ambassador ....my mistake was to try to talk with him but as I told you he does not speak a word of English or Chinese....the translators do the job for him. Very sad!!

Sep. 5,2009 21:44
Mr.Juan(China) replied:

Besides, a pakistani visa holder do not need a visa to go to Ecuador!! Remember, only chinese people are requeried to be in tour to go there as tourist...so be careful.!!
