 Transportation to the Embassy of Syria in Beijing:
You can take a bus and get off at the Nongye Zhanlanguan stop (National Agricultural Exhibition Center); then walk westward along the Dong Si Jie, you can find the embassy. The buses routes include Bus No. 207, 402, 405, 420, 421, 627, 635, 671, 701, 707, 718, 801, 974, 984, Sunway Line 10, Te 3 and Yuntong 107.

 Chinese Diplomatic Passport or Service Passport holders are exempted from visa fee; Chinese Ordinary Passport holders are required a visa fee of RMB 75.

 For foreigners in China, the following documents are essential:

a. Two visa applications form filled in with demanded photos.  
b. Chinese residence card with a validity of more than six months.
c. An introduction letter provided by the company in which the applicant is working; the letter should mention the basic information of the applicant, including name, passport number, position in the company, the purpose of visiting Syria and the stay period in Syria. The company should guarantee that the applicant will return to China after his visit to Syria.
d. Applicants should get an official note from the embassy of his or her homeland in China, to prove that the embassy has the record of the applicant's stay in China.
e. If the visit to Syria is for commercial purpose, the applicants should provide:
An invitation letter offered by the Syrian company which has business cooperation with the applicant's working company in China; the invitation letter should be testified by the Chamber of Commerce of Syria and the content should cover the basic information of the applicant, including the name, purpose of visit and the stay period in Syria. Besides, the above-mentioned Syrian company is required to fax the invitation letter to the embassy of Syria in Beijing. The applicant should submit a copy of the invitation letter when make the application.
f. The visa fee depends on the kinds of the visa.

 When making the application, the applicant's visa should have a validity of more than six months.
 It will take about four business days to issue the visa.
 The office hours for visa application are from 10:00am to 12:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
 The application should be made in person.
 The regulations are adapted to Hong Kong and Macau citizens.
