With a history of 1,400 years, Zhaozhou Bridge was built during Sui Dynasty (595-605) by a craftsman named Li Chun. It is the oldest, biggest span of single arch, the most complete open broad shoulders stone bridge preserved in the world. It is generally acknowledged as the “First Bridge in the World”.
