Located at 292 Changjiang Road, Nanjing, the Former Office of Provisional President Dr. Sun Yat-sen (also called Presidential Palace) is currently the biggest Chinese modern history museum. The palace has a more than 600-year old history. From the Opium War in 1840 to the libration of Nanjing in 1949, it has always been the center of China's political and military affairs. Many important people frequently came here.

Nanjing Museum for the Site of Chinese Modern History, known as the Presidential Palace by Nanjing people, has opened to tourists since March 1st, 2003.
