The Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses in Xuzhou is not only an ancient art treasure, but also a historic witness of Xuzhou as a town of military importance. It consists of four pits; the statues in the No.1, No.2 and No.3 pits can be divided into two groups: standing infantry array and the crouching chariots warriors; the No.4 pit has only 14 standing ceremonial infantry statues and symbolic wood weapons and shields.
