Held in July or August every year, Qinghai Lake International Road Cycling Race is an international road cycling race with the highest altitude (5,906 feet to 12,467 feet), enjoying the fame as the top professional road race in Asia. About 140 athletes from 21 teams spanning all the five continents around the world come to take part in the 10-day race every year. The race route centers on the Qinghai Lake and covers a total of over 1,350 kilometers (839 miles), surrounded by the beautiful landscapes.
