Shigatse is not only well-known for the second largest city in Tibet, but also for the abode of Panchen Lama. The New Palace of Panchen stands south to the Tashihunpo Monastery, built by the Tenth Panchen Lama in 1954 as the summer retreat. This magnificent palace houses many cultural relics and art treasure.

With elegant surrounding and magnificent decoration, the New Palace is a good place for summer.
