Dear Ruby and Sally,
Overall, the meals were excellent. The two meals we most enjoyed were the restaurant where we had lunch after visiting the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall at Badaling. Another favorite was Chenmapo Beancurd Restaurant in Chengdu. This was recommended by our guide in Chengdu. This was a true Sichuan restaurant, hot and spicy and great.
I particularly enjoyed our guides in Xian and Chengdu. In Xian, our guide was extremely knowledgable about the amazing history of that region and very enthusiastic about sharing it with us. In Chengdu our guide gets high marks for her flexibility and willingness to help us make the most of the experience. She got us to a local pharmacy and get restaurants which were a highlight of the whole Chengdu trip. The guides in Beijing, Xian and Shanghai all get high marks for their professional handling of the difficult member of our tour group.
Our tour with Travel China Guide was a tour for people who don't like organized tours. The tour group was small, allowing us more time at sights and more time to engage the guides in conversation. My husband and I do not normally travel as part of organized tours, but if we could be guaranteed all tours would be like yours, we might change our minds!
Once again, thank you and your tour guides for a WONDERFUL China trip. We have already been thinking of returning and have recommended Travel China Guide to our friends.

I would be intersted in a South China tour of maybe 10 days and would prefer tourist class hotels for 2 adults. I will be in Beijing from 18 Sept till 2 Oct 2010 and I have already visited Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin and Shanghai so would like to see something different.
Or I would also be interested in a North China tour on the Silk Road.
