Anyone know the easiest transportation going to Gutian from Xiamen or Fuzhou. How much is the cost? Any nice places to visit or see in Gutian?

From Xiamen to Gutian: you could catch bus at Songbai Bus Station, which supplies two buses to Gutian everyday respectively at 06:40 and 14:50. The journey is about 450kms. The fare is 92RMB.
From Fuzhou to Gutian, you could catch a bus from Fuzhou West Bus Station from 06:50 to 17:45 with an interval of about 15 minutes. The journey is much shorter and just costs 36RMB.
