Visited the Wild Animal Park 2 weeks ago. Took a bus from Shanghai Stadium, it cost 120 yuan including the entrance fee and it took 1 hour 45 minutes. I declined a visit to Shanghai Zoo as I had heard it was a little depressing, but the WAP was really very nice, vast open enclosures for the animals, in fact, so vast it was kind of hard to see the animals, but that is fine by me, that''s how it should be, plenty of places for them to hide should they feel unsociable. The place looked well kept and animals not obviously distressed or depressed. Plenty of Chinese tourists feeding them all sorts of crap though despite many "Please do not feed the animals" signs. Worth a visit, but you need to commit a full day.
