Shapotou
Sand Lake is 56 km (35 miles) north of Yinchuan. Being a world of desert and lake, it is an ideal place for bird watching, sand slide and cableway slide. Appreciating the reeds, lotus and various kinds of fish are also popular among other activities. Shapotou lies about 150 km (93 miles) south of Yinchuan. It is one of the five most beautiful deserts in China. Tourists can experience sand slide, thrilling Yellow River drift, cableway slide and riding on camels to enjoy the mysterious desert. |
