Banpo Museum, also Banpo Village Remains Site, is the first museum about the prehistoric site-Banpo site. The Banpo Village Remains Site is situated in Baqiao Distric, the eastern suburb of Xian City. It is a typical Neolithic matriarchal community, which is part of the Yangshao Culture dating back about 6,000 years ago. During that period, tools are mainly made of stone.
