Jokhang Temple Photos
The splendid Jokhang Temple is located in the center of Lhasa City and has been the spirit center of pilgrims for a long time. This Buddhist temple was constructed in the middle of the 7th century by the great Tibet King-Songsten Gampo. Originally, the sacred temple was used to house the rare statue of eight-year-old Jowo Sakyamuni, but then it was used to house the gilded statue of twelve-year-old Sakyamuni until now.
