As one of the most excellent tourist city, Quanzhou has good transport service for its guests. Its Jinjiang Airport provides a direct way to get to the city from many other cities especially in Southern China. Railways are not so well developed as the airport because Quanzhou's railways are just connected to the cities and counties nearby. However, as Quanzhou's highways extend to most cities in Fujian Province, you can firstly go to Fuzhou or Xiamen and then take long-distance buses to Quanzhou within just one to two hours. The highways are so comprehensive that they radiate to many large cities in other provinces including Guangdong, Zhejiang and Shandong, etc, which enables you to reach Quanzhou directly by long-distance buses from those cities.

Quanzhou is an offshore city with superior ports to transit passengers and goods. There are 24 ports operating passenger ships to other seaport cities such as Dalian, Shanghai, Hong Kong and even cities in Japan. Houzhu Port, Quanzhou Port and Shijing Port are also responsible to transit goods including coal, oil and containers to and from other cities.

In the urban Quanzhou, city buses and tourist buses connect most of the city's tourist destinations together, offering you quite a good way to find your destination.
