Location: Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is located in the Liangjiang Town of Guilin City, about 28 kilometers (about 17.4 miles) southwest from the city center.
Brief Intro: Opened to the public in 1996, Guilin Liangjiang International Airport now has a 4D flight area, a 2,800 meters (about 3062 yards) runway, 150 thousand square meters (about 37 acre) parking apron, 20 gate positions, and a two-storied 50 thousand square meters (about 12.4 acre) terminal building. It has a flow volume of about 4 millions passengers per year and serves 48 domestic and international air routes from Guilin to more than 30 domestic cities, 8 international cities and regions.
Guilin Flights (brief introduction & flight search)
Facilities:
Business Center: between the exits of domestic arrival and international arrival, the center offers the service of fax, print and internet.
Medical Center: on the west side of the departure hall on the second floor of the terminal building.
Police Station: on the right side of the security inspection passageway of the departure hall on the second floor of the terminal building.
Restaurants: passengers can find restaurants at the international departure hall and near the security inspection passageway of the domestic lounge, and also the cafes near the check-in counter of the domestic departure hall. The opening hours of these restaurants and cafes are from 07:00 to the last flight.

Luggage Carts: at the domestic and international departure hall and the luggage pick-up center, you can find free luggage carts. If you need luggage moving service, it will cost you about CNY2 per article.

Airport Transportation:
Taxi: the flat rate fare of taxis in Guilin is about CNY7 for the first 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles), then the distance surcharge is about 1.6 Yuan to CNY2 per km. After 23:00, the flat rate fare will increased to CNY7.8 and the distance surcharge is about CNY1.8 to CNY2.4 per kilometers.
Airport Bus: after every flight arrival at the airport, there will be an airport bus waiting at the exit of the arrival hall leaving for the downtown area. Also passengers can take the bus at Civil Aviation Mansion from 06:30 to 20:00 from the downtown area to the airport. The buses will depart every 30 minutes and the cost is about CNY20 per person.

I intent to go to Macau on the 28th Jan 2010. Is there a direct bus from zhuhai to Guilin and how long is its Journey.
If the Journey is too long, are there any flights from macau to guilin or from Zhuhai to Guilin.
Are there any river cruise from Guilin to Yangshao for the month of Jan.
Also is the show (I cant remember the name , maybe its called flower drum song by Zhang Yimou) available in Jan.

it takes about 11 half hours from Zhuhai to Guilin by bus.There have two flights from Macau to Guilin ,so you can go to Guilin by air.
there still have river cruise grom Guilin to Yangshuo In January.
but the impression sanjie liu show will nnot be held in 17 January to 16 February,so it better for you to re-enact your travel plans,if you want to see the show.

I've check the price of the airline recommended by you but the airfare cost about $700 singapore dollars from Macau to Guiln. Thats too expensve. So I've decided to go to Guilin next time and I will take a direct flight from Kuala lumpur to Guilin by airasia.
Since I will be in macau and in Zhuhai and in Panyu, can you recommend me some places to go around these areas. We love to see local peoples way of life, henceforth we love to visit their market place, their coffeeshops, villages, etc....

Hi.. I am going to Macau on 1st February 2010. from Guilin. I am taking a flight. Guilin to Shenzhen at a cost of RMB 600. then will go Shenzhen to Macau. I would have considered going by bus,, but I would have had to travel overnight and then wait all day for my late evening flight. You can sometimes get a cheaper ticket to Guanzhou (RMB350) but then you still need to get a bus, maybe 2 hours to Zhuhai.

This will take place in beginning of march next year.It would be nice if our checked in luggage were on the same flight too :-)

Time is not enough. Suggest you change another flight. You have to claim the luggage, get through immigration and customs, then get to the transfer counter to get security check then. This will take nearly one hour and you have some time spent on walking. If there is a queue, you need longer time.

Yes, it is a bit cold in Jan. One week istoo much just for GUilin and Yangshuo. So, of you are interested, you can get to Longshengto see the terraces. In fact, that is not a good time to see the terrace. It looks beautiful when it snows.

Personally, I think Guilin itself is nothin else worthwhile another day, You can spend more time in Yangshuo and Longsheng.
