Tongren Daxing Airport makes Tongren City the main transportation center of the Tongren Region since it opened in 2001.

The road extends in all directions: National Highway No.320, No.326 connects to Tongren and has interlaced with Provincial Highway No.201, 302, 303. In addition, Yuping-Dalong Freeway runs through Tongren City and makes road transportation more convenient. Travel by train is also very convenient after the recent construction of Tongren Railway Station.

The interior transportation in Tongren City is convenient either by city bus or by taxi. The buses are clean and there are 8 bus lines in the city. You can take the bus from any stations to reach the main streets in the city.
