Comfortable Train

There is no airport in this city, but people usually arrive at the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport first and then get there by train or by long-distance bus. In addition, it is only 85 kilometers from Jining Airport in Jiaxiang County which can also help getting there.

Not as convenient as Zibo, Dongying and Tai'an, Jinan's international Airport does not open its shuttle bus line in Qufu. So, visitors should get to Jinan by regular bus and then take the airport shuttle bus (CNY20) or taxi (CNY60-CNY100) to the airport. The local Bus Station has regular buses to Jinan. It will take one and a half hours to get there through expressway.

Train

There are two rail stations in the city – Qufu Railway Station and East Railway Station. The former mainly operates ordinary trains and the latter is a high-speed rail station. Trains from/to Beijing, Jinan, Rizhao, Heze, Yantai and many others cities are available.

In addition, the local Bus Station has opened some twelve special tourist lines to Nishangm, Jiuxian, Jiulong Mountains and Shaohao Mausoleum.

Taxi

Taxis in the city are mainly of the brands of Santana and Chery, operated by Anxin Taxi Company. As the price is not expensive, taxi is among the most popular means of transportation. Its starting rate is CNY5 for the first 2km (1.2mi), and it costs CNY1.3/km within 4km (2.5km). When the car runs farther than 4km (2.5mi), the price of each additional kilometer (0.6mi) reaches CNY2. Generally, the cab fare from city proper to hot attractions in town can be CNY10-15.

It's about 560km.
You can take a bullet train from Yantai Railway Station or Yantai South Railway Station to the city, and it takes less than 5h.

Transport from Qufu East to Juancheng
I need to get from QF East Station where I will arrive at 16:18 on a Sunday to Juancheng. What is the best way to get there? Ideally I'd like to hire a driver / taxi but not too sure how much this is likely to cost and how easy it would be to organise in advance (as I will need to make the same journey in reverse the following Tuesday). Any advice gratefully received.

You are suggested to take a taxi to QF Railway station first, which costs about CNY20, and then you can take a train to Heze, which leaves at 17:40 and 22:50. The train takes about 2 h 30 minutes and CNY21.5 for a hard seat. After arrival, you can take a taxi or local car to Juancheng, which costs about CNY60-70, and you can share the fare with other visitors.
As for returning, the train from Heze to Qufu leaves at 6:53, 9:18 and 21:05.
