Zhan Wu Jiu and his wife attended the Paris Expo 1867.I have an autographed photo in chinese which was given when he visited the Paris Expo to Edouard Cointreau ,age 18,my great grand father who invented Cointreau orange liqueur in 1875. I have published this photo in July 2009 in my Gourmand Yearbook 2009.Very few chinese were at Paris Expo 1867,less than a dozen.Zhan Wu Jiu seems to be a dignitary, very tall, elegant ,dressed for the Imperial Court.
I now spend much time in China every year ,and will visit Shanghai Expo 2010 with emotion and pleasure.
