Day 01Arrival in Chongqing

Upon your arrival in Chongqing, our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at the airport. First, we will transfer you to visit the largest zoo in southwestern China, Chongqing Zoo, which accommodates over 200 species of animals. Annually, the zoo receives more than one million tourists from home and abroad. Most of them are attracted by the lovely pandas. Here, tourists will be able to have a close contact with the lovable giant pandas, lesser pandas and their little offspring. Then, if time permits, you will visit the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. Dinner is arranged on your own. Chongqing is famous for its local snacks, you can get some idea about the local flavor from your guide and they will be pleased to give you some useful information. Once you finish this short city tour, our tour guide will transfer you to board the luxurious cruise ship President No.6，which set off at about 22:00.

Day 02Shibaozhai

In the morning, you may join some lectures or activities arranged by the cruise company, or just relax by yourself. In the afternoon, you will have a shore excursion tour to Shibaozhai. Shibaozhai is an isolated mountain in the Yangtze River, which is famous for its spectacular wooden tower, a 12 layers tower built more than 400 years ago. This tower is also reputed as one of the eight world fantastic architectural buildings. Climbing up the tower, you will reach the mountain peak and enjoy the panoramic view of the rolling Yangtze River. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening. You may dress well and enjoy your time for leisure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served on board.

Day 03Badong (Shennong Stream) - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping

Today, you will first pass the Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the grandest one of the Three Gorges. Later you will pass the Wu Gorge with its famous lofty and misty peaks. Disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream. Originating from the southern slope of the Shennong Jia Natural Reserve, the Shennong Stream stretches about 60 kilometers (37 miles) from north to south and eventually joins the Yangtze River at the mouth of the Wu Gorge. It flows through four gorges: the Shennong Gorge, the Mianzhu Gorge, the Yingwu Gorge (Parrot Gorge) and the Longchang Gorge. The trip to the Shennong Stream features for its natural beauty and an exciting boat ride drifting along the crystal stream. The pea boat allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and precious animals. The unique songs of the local Tujia people are very impressive. Then continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Dock overnight at Sandouping, close to the Three Gorges Dam. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served on board.

Day 04Departure from Yichang

This morning, you will disembark at Huang Ling Miao pier at around 08:00 a.m. for a morning excursion to the Three Gorges Dam, which is the largest of its kind in the world. The Three Gorges Dam began to be constructed in 1994. When the gigantic project is finished, it will form a giant reservoir with a length of 600 kilometers (373 miles), a rare new landscape in the world. The great dam can provide China with great power generation and exercise its flood control function. When you stand on the dam of 185 meters high above sea level, watching the flood discharging underfoot and calm river flowing in the far end, you will be pleasantly surprised by the ideal combination of modern engineering and natural scenery. After that, pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures under the instruction of the cruise company. The tour guide in Yichang will pick you up on board and take you to visit the Yichang Museum if time allows. Then we will provide comfortable airport transfer service for you.
