Yangtze River scenery

After you arrive in Chongqing on the first day, please lodge at a local Youth Hostel or Home Inn. If you are fond of the spicy food, Chongqing is the right place for you because the tasty Sichuan cuisine is served here. You should buy the steamer ticket from Chongqing to Fengjie at the ticket office near Chaotianmen port. The Jiangshan ship departs from Chongqing port at 20: 00.

The boat will dock at Fengdu in the early morning on the second day, and then you can pay a visit at Fengdu Ghost City and climb the mountain nearby for about 3 hours. The admission fee is ￥80.00. Please ensure that you will get on board timely. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Zhangfei Temple in Yunyang County. It is in honor of the upright man during the period of Three Kingdoms in ancient China. You will arrive at Fengjie at about 21: 00. Have an overnight stay at the Kuizhou Hostel. Yangtze Three Gorges tour

On the following day, you are advised to visit the natural wonders – Heaven Pit and Terra slot. Take the bus at Guoping coach station. It is about 2 hour's drive from Fengjie to Lianghekou. 4 hours is needed for hiking from Lianghekou to Gaoqiao. En route, you will be deeply impressed by the fabulous landscape. The admission fee is ￥30.00 for each site. You can spend 1 hour in Heaven Pit and 3 hours in Terra Slot. It is not only proper for exploration but also an ideal resort to see the snowscape. Stay overnight at Xinglong hostel.

On the fourth day, take the bus back to Fengjie first and then head for Baidicheng for sightseeing by boat. On the mountainside, you will see the legendary Kuimen. There are about 8 kilometers between Fengjie and Baidicheng. Get ready to hike through Qutang Gorge from here. It is about 2-3 hours' hiking for Qutang Gorge, which is only 8 kilometers long. More care should be taken when trekking, because part of the road is very cliffy and slippery. It is advisable for you to take some food to help you supplement energy. In the evening, you will arrive in Wushan and stay there.

Yangtze Shennong Stream

Take the boat to Qingshi at Wushan port in the morning at the expense of ￥5.00. After arrival in Qingshi, you are advised to hike towards Beishi along the south bank of Qingshi, which is the highly recommended hiking route, because enjoying the nice scenery and tourist sites is much a delight for you. You won't miss Fairy Peak, Wuduo bridge and the Kongming Stele. 3-4 hours is needed for the hiking. The last boat from Beishi to Badong departs at about 12: 00. Thus, you may lodge at Beishi town today.

It takes about ￥10.00 from Beishi to Badong by boat. After arrival in Badong, take another boat to Xintan. Hike about 8 hours to Sandouping. Visit the site of Three Gorges Dam in Sandouping. Afterwards, take about an hour's drive to Yichang. Have an overnight stay in the local clean hostel.
