Day One: Entry Beijing
You'll be met upon arrival outside the baggage claim area at the Beijing Capital Airport and transferred to the 4-star Holiday Inn Central Plaza (the best Holiday Inn Hotel in Beijing; Add: 1# Caiyuanjie, Xuanwu District, Beijing 100053). The left hours of the day are for free individual activities. No scheduled program is arranged.

Day Two: Beijing
You will be thrilled the whole day when visit Tiananmen Square - one of the largest and grandest city squares in the world; the Forbidden City of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Temple of Heaven - once was the royal temple.  The Forbidden City is reputed as the No. 1 of the five great palaces in the world. It was started to be built by the emperor Zhu Di in Ming Dynasty in 1406 and was finished in 1420. Its length from south to north is 961 meters, width from east to west is 753 meters, and the area is 725,000 square meters with the construction area of 155,000 square meters. After the field measuring by the experts, there are more than 90 big and small compounds in the Forbidden City, 980 houses and 8704 rooms. The wall around the city is 12 meters high and 3400 meters long. Outside the wall there is the moat with the width of 52 meters. The Forbidden City has one gate on every direction of the four sides. They are Meridan Gate (Wu Gate) on the south, Gate of Piritual Valor (Shenwu Gate) on the north, Donghu Gate on the east and Xihua Gate on the west. The Jingshan Mountain on the back of the Forbidden City can be considered as the protective screen of the construction complex.

Day Three: Beijing
You will be accompanied by our local professional guide to one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Great Wall, Badaling section. (The Great Wall, with the total length of 6700 kilometers, is one of the oldest great constructions in the world. It was firstly built in Qing Dynasty and was repaired and built continuously in the following dynasties. The Great Wall we can see now was almost built in Ming Dynasty. The Badaling Great Wall is the essence and the best preserved section of the Great Wall, and also has the unique representation. It is the earliest section of the Great Wall that is opened to the tourists. The Badaling Great Wall, 75 kilometers away from downtown area, locates in the south of Yanqing county which is in the northwest of Beijing city. In 1988, it is listed in as the World Human Cultural Heritage by the United Nations.) Drive to escape the shopping site tourist restaurants near the Great Wall to have a decent meal -Sichuan food, for lunch. The visits continue to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. Conclude the day tour after visit the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.

Shennong stream excursion, Yangtze River cruise tour
Day Four: Beijing- Yichang
The last stop of Beijing is a brief tour to the Summer Palace. Then head for Yichang by flight and be met upon arrival with comfortable private transfer. You will visit Yichang Museum if time permits. Then transfer to the luxurious 4-star cruise ship President No. 2 or President No. 3 after dining at a local notable restaurant.

Day Five: Yangtze Three Gorges Dam
Take an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Enter the Xiling Gorge. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.

Day Six: Badong (Shennong Stream)
Disembark at Badong and take a small pea boat along Shennong Stream to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of nature.

Day Seven: Fengdu
After breakfast, visit the Ghost City of Fengdu. Continue sailing to pass through the mountains of Eastern Sichuan.

Yangtze Three Gorges cruise tour
Day Eight: Chongqing - Xian
The ship is scheduled to arrive in the mountain city Chongqing at around 09:00. Please follow the notice to pack your luggage and be met by the guide. Have a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. Head for Xian by flight and you will be met by your local professional tour guide. Transfer to check in at the well-selected 4-star Grand New World Hotel (Address: 48, Lian Hu Road, Xian 710002).

Day Nine: Xian
You will have a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum which is said to be the Eighth Wonder of the world. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall after lunch.

Day Ten: Xian - Shanghai
Have the last Xian stop to the Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque. (Shaanxi Provincial History Museum is situated on the northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian. It consists of the spectacular construction complex in the style of Tang Dynasty. The museum occupies the area of 65,000 square meters of which the construction area is 55,600 square meters. There are more than 370,000 historical relics collected in the museum. Not only the quantity of the historical relics is large and the kinds are complete, but also the grade and the value are in high standard. Among the relics, the bronze vessels of Shang and Zhou Dynasty are exquisite, the pottery figurines of dynasties are multiform, the golden and silver wares of Han and Tang Dynasty are unique and the fresco in the tombs of Tang Dynasty is unparalleled.) Day Eleven: Shanghai
The first stop of Shanghai is to visit the Shanghai Museum which houses large collections of historical items. Then go ahead to the famous Yuyuan Garden, walk around Bund area along the Hangpu River and visit a local family.

Day Twelve: Shanghai Exit
Prepare for your homebound flight. Comfortable hotel-airport transfer is arranged according to your flight schedule.
