Hi, I am an Australian passport holder and planning to travel to Hongkong in July for a short visit, about 4 weeks. During this 4 weeks, i would also like to visit China, Guangzhou, which is next to Hongkong. I know that Hongkong allows 3 month of stay for Australians without visa. Do i need to apply for visa to visit to go to Guangzhou from Hongkong? Thanks.

 Answered by Mr. Leonardo
You do need a Chinese L visa for your visit to Guangzhou, but it can be applied from the visa office of PRC in HK.

I'm traveling thru Beijing to Mongolia from the Switzerland. My Switzerland flight arrives in Beijing about 2PM and my Mongolia flight leaves the same airport at 7AM the next day. Do I need a visa to be able to leave the airport and stay in a nearby hotel? Or do I have to stay in tne in-transit area of the airport? Thank you.

 Answered by Mr. Leonardo
No visa is required for your transit within 24 hours provided that you don't leave the airport.
