Forest Park in Shenling Zhai, Luoning County

Your trip will start from Luoyang railway station. You can take a regular bus heading for Luoning County at the bus station located in the opposite of the railway station. After you arrive at Luoning county, you can have a short rest and go on to take the No. 7 bus heading to your destination - the Forest Park in Shenling Zhai. It is 26 kilometers away from the county center and takes nearly one hour to reach there.

This forest park is surrounded by mountains and forest. Its average temperature is 13.7 degree all year and the highest one can reach 26 degrees. Therefore, it is suitable for visiting at any season.. The most outstanding scenic region is the Shenling Gorger. There see the rare birds and animals, as well as the ancient plants and flowers. You will have extraordinary views of the natural landscape. The scenic spot opens from 08:00 ~ 17:30 every day. Its entrance fare is 35 yuan for the sole visitor and 20 yuan per person for the group member. The second day, explore further there and fully enjoy yourselves. In the afternoon, it's time for you to get out of the landscape area and carry out your journey. First, return to Luoning county. And then, take a coach from the bus station heading for Luanchuan county. You may arrive there in the late afternoon, so you are advised to find a proper guest house for an overnight stay and start your trip there the next day. You are recommended to stay in the Ji Guandong guesthouse, which is located in the east of the fountain (Guesthouse Address: Junshan Road, Zhongduan, Luanchuan county). Its room rate is 80 yuan or so for the standard twin room per night.

The third morning, you can hike 3 kilometers towards the west direction from the center of Luanchuan county, or you can take the special traveling line bus heading to the Jiguan cave. It is a natural limestone cave. A one kilometer part of this cave is under ground and that forms the unique and fascinating views of this spot. With the magnificent sights and charming mystery, it is considered as the No. 1 cave in the North region. The average temperature in the cave is around 18 degree all year round, so it is very comfortable to stay in the cave during your visit. Its entrance fare is 50 yuan per person. You surely will have an unforgettable experience there. After that, you can return back to Luanchuan county and take a bus heading for another landscape area - Zhongdugou scenic spot. Its gate ticket is 80 yuan. The sight area covers the charming cascade palace, the bodtree and the bamboo grove, etc. After having an interesting trip inside of the spot, you can take the bus back to Luanchuan and leave for Luoyang as your plan.
