Changsha Bicycle Tours

BC-CS01 : 5 Days Changsha - Yiyang - Changde - Wulingyuan

 
Upon your arrival in Changsha, please ride to visit Hunan First Normal University where Chairman Mao studied and was taught. You can stay overnight at 7 Days Inn located at 179 Middle Furong Road, Changsha to get prepared for your next day's cycling. 
 
On the morning of the second day, riding to Changsha Orange Island which is located at the center of the Xiangjiang River. This island is about 10 miles long. The narrowest place of it is 40 meters wide while the broadest place is 140 meters. There is a park on it with  thousands of orange trees. Orange Island is named by this reason. You can see Yuelu 

Academy on the west and Changshapo on the east from there. Then continue to ride passing Leifeng and Bairuopu towns to reach Ningxiang county. After arriving in Ningxiang county, have a short stay there and heading northwest to get to Yiyang. Yiyang is about 100km away from Changsha. From Ningxiang county to Yiyang, you should pass by Henglongqiao, Cangshuipu and Longguangqiao counties in turn. Upon arrival in Yiyang, find a local hotel to relax yourselves. (If you want to stay in Yiyang for one more day, you can visit some scenic resorts surroundings. For example, the Peachblossom Lake which is 35km in south Taojiang county, the Xiunv Hill located at Xiushan county, Longquan cave in Anhua county and so on.)
 
Heading northwest to get to Changde (88km away from Yiyang) on the third day. Changde is an old small city. After you arrive in Changde, find a hotel there and then you can go around to experience its local culture. On the next day, riding to Taohuayuan which lies in the south of Changde. Taohuayuan is famous for its scenic landscape and has high sightseeing, culture and art value. It is among the top ten scenic spots of Hunan province and is very deserve to visit. Cycle back to Changde city area in the afternoon. 
 
On the fifth day, riding 90km to Shimen county to visit Jiashan Temple scenic area and Hupingshan nature preservation zone to appreciate the beautiful views there. Say goodbye to the county on the morning of the sixth day and go on to ride about 80km to get to Wulingyuan. Wulingyuan is well known for its strange peak and stone, deep valley, peaceful water and water-eroded cave. It is made up of three scenic areas. They are Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxiyu Valley and Tianzi Mountain. In the following two days, you can stay there to enjoy the amazing beauty of the nature.
