Day 1 Arrival in Siem Reap
Your professional tour guide and driver will pick you up at Siem Reap Airport upon your arrival and then escort you to the hotel for check-in. After a short rest, we will set out for a brief city tour by tuk tuk. On route, we will stop at the bustling Old City Market to soak in the local life and surroundings. When the tour is finished, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 2 Siem Reap
We will start today's private Siem Reap tour early in the morning for a glamorous sunrise over Angkor Wat. The silhouettes of magnificent temples and stupas along with their dazzling reflections in the encircling waters create a beautiful photograph. Afterwards, your guide will lead you to explore Angkor Thom, the last capital city of the Khmer Empire, founded in the 9th century. After entering from the south gate, you will be guided to visit the Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King in succession.

Then after exiting from the north gate, we will visit the Preah Khan Temple (Temple of Sacred Sword) before proceeding to the Ta Prohm Temple - the shooting location of the movie Tomb Raider.

In the evening, you will enjoy the fantastic Apsara Dinner Show at a fancy restaurant.

Day 3 Siem Reap
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Rolous Group, which is recognized as the beginning of the classic period of Khmer art and is famous for the temple remains including Lolei, Preah Ko and Bakong.

On the way back to Siem Reap, we will have a stop to appreciate Beng Mealea, the ruins of a Hindu temple hidden in a primitive forest.

Day 4 Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
After checking out of the hotel, we will continue this Cambodia tour itinerary to Phnom Penh by a comfortable ride. En route, we will alight at a rural market to experience local life.

After checking into a hotel in Phnom Penh, you will be accompanied to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, where you will discover the fierce massacre of Khmer rouge during 1975 - 1979. Later, we will enjoy some relaxing time hanging out at the Russian Market.

Day 5 Phnom Penh - Chau Doc
We will check out of the hotel in the morning and head for the Royal Palace, and explore the splendid halls and stupas with pointed golden roofs and white walls inside. Then we will take a boat ride on the Mekong River. Your Cambodia tour will end here as cross the border to Vietnam and arrive at Chau Doc Town in 5 hours. After checking into a local hotel, the rest of the day will be free for your own arrangements.

Day 6 Chau Doc - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, we will drive to Vinh Long to visit Vinhlong market, where you will discover various kinds of seafood and vegetables, and experience how the local people sell and buy things. We will then take a boat ride along the Mekong River to see the brick kilns and the local workshops. Afterwards, a rowing boat will take you deep into the countryside for a peaceful and enjoyable ride. We will also see the orchard and traditional house of the Ut Trinh family. Besides, you will also cycle around in the village and see the local farms and the real life up close.

The cruise will go back to Vinh Long city and then a private drive will take you to Ho Chi Minh City. Your guide will help you check in at the hotel.

Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang - Hoi An
Accompanied by your guide, you will pay a visit to the landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City today, including the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. All these splendid buildings were built in the late 19th century, following the French architectural style. You will also be able to learn about local daily life by wandering around a busy indoor market called Ben Thanh.

Afterwards, you will be escorted to the airport for a flight to Da Nang. The local guide will meet you at the airport and then take you to Hoi An and help you check into the hotel.

Day 8 Hoi An
Today's itinerary will start with a leisurely stroll around a local market in Hoi An Old Town. You will learn about the history of the town's development by visiting Hoi An Museum. A few historical buildings inside the town, such as the Old Merchants' House, the Assembly Hall, and Japanese Covered Bridge, are also worthy of your admiration.

Day 9 Hoi An - Hue
After checking out of the hotel in the morning, we will drive to Hue. On the way, we will stop at Hai Van Pass on the hilltop to enjoy the panoramic view, and relax on the unspoiled beach of Lang Co. Upon arrival, you will first be escorted to check into the hotel and then then be guided to explore the city including the Royal Citadel and the Imperial Purple Citadel, which are relics of royal buildings. Then we will continue the trip to the Thien Mu Pagoda, seated on the northern bank of the Perfume River, and the Mausoleum of King Tu Duc, which is adorned with exquisite pavilions, bridges and ponds.

Day 10 Hue - Hanoi
In the morning, a private ride will take you to the airport to catch a flight to Hanoi. Your Hanoi guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel. When you settle down, we will set out to visit the French-style Opera House, and then stroll around the Old Quarter and experience the local cultural atmosphere. We will round off the day with the graceful Hoan Kiem Lake and the Ngoc Son Temple in the middle of the lake.

Day 11 Hanoi - Lao Cai
After breakfast, we will head for the Ba Dinh Square and visit the nearby Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda. Then move forward to the Temple of Literature, which is a Chinese-style building constructed in the 17th century. After feeling the rich academic atmosphere, we will continue the trip to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the diverse ethnic cultures of the country. We will conclude the private Hanoi tour with a fabulous Water Puppet Show.

After the show, your guide will escort you to the train station for your onward night train to Lao Cai.

Day 12 Lao Cai - Sapa
After arriving at Lao Cai Railway Station, you will meet your private local guide at the exit. You will be accompanied around one of the local markets (Bac Ha Fair Market on Sun, Coc Ly on Tue, and Can Cau on Sat). Afterwards, your guide will transfer you to Sapa Town to check into a local hotel.

Day 13 Sapa Trekking
Today we will set out for the trekking tour to the hill tribe villages. You can choose one route from the three options, according to your physical condition: Easy Trek (3km), Medium Trek (6km), and Long Trek (12km). While trekking, you can enjoy the wonderful views of endless terraced fields stretching out into the distance. You will also get to see the distinctive ethnic cultures of H'mong, Dzao and Dzay groups, which is another highlight of the day. When we are finished, a comfortable ride will take you back to Sapa.

Day 14 Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi
Our first sight this morning will be a local market. After that, your guide will escort you to the Tram Ton Pass, also known as the Heaven's Gate, standing at an an altitude of 1,900m (6,200ft). From there, you will have stunning panoramic views of the surrounding rolling mountains. Then your guide will lead you to see the nearby Silver Waterfall.

When the sightseeing is over, we will drive back to Lao Cai Railway Station for a night train back to Hanoi.

Day 15 Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruise
Your Hanoi local guide will pick you up at Hanoi Railway Station and transfer you directly to Halong Pier to start the 1.5 days' Halong Bay Cruise. Halong Bay is a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO, featuring thousands of limestone hills and islets rising up from the sea.

In the afternoon, you will transfer to a rowboat and discover locals' daily life at Vung Vieng Village. We will return to the cruise ship and the rest of the day will be free for you to view the picturesque scenery, or take part in recreational activities onboard.

Day 16 Halong Bay - Hanoi
If you are interested, you could get up early to attend a Tai Chi class on the upper deck and enjoy the sunrise view at the same time. After a morning tea or coffee, you will visit the Thien Canh Son Cave, where stalactites of various shapes grow inside. Then return to the cruise to have a hearty brunch.

You will arrive at Halong Pier at around noon. Your guide will transfer you to check into a hotel in Hanoi. The rest of the day will be free for your own arrangements.
