Is there a financial centre in Nanjing where people work? Or is it primarily a tourist attraction?

It is a place for working. The financial center is in Baixia District of Nanjing City. Same as the World FInancial Center in Shanghai, there is also a building in Nanjing. To be different, the building in Shanghai is once the highest building in Asian , perahps still so by now. It provides good view in the top.

There are many bus routes that can take you there. The center is in Mochouhu Xilu (bus stop name), west side of Mochou lake. It can be also arrived from the airport. Where are you going from.

Take airport bus to the end of the route and then change a taxi to where you want to go in Pukou. That is the easiest and relatively cheaper way.
