Dear Sir/Madam:

My name is Ashley Bowkett and I'm the International Production Manager of a prime time Chinese TV show called Meet China produced in Beijing. It was a pleasure to speak with a staff member yesterday afternoon and I'd like to warmly invite the General Manager of TravelChinaGuide.com, in Xi'an, to be a featured guest to appear on our television program, on location in the Yi Li Region of Xinjiang Province in the far west of China.

Meet China is a thought-provoking 50-minute prime time TV weekly program on China Central Television Network. CCTV is the only national network in China, now reaching over 84% of China's 1.3 billion population, with the number of regular viewers exceeding 900 million. The program is also broadcast worldwide via CCTV-4, to over 100 countries via satellite. We have the largest audience in the Chinese market and a substantial following internationally.

Meet China invites high profile foreign civic and business leaders as featured guests to the show and pairs them with their Chinese counterparts. The guests communicate with each other and with studio audience via a two-way international satellite link or a video-conference link, hearing and seeing each other in real-time. Show topics are wide-ranging and can be serious as well as light and entertaining. All shows are produced live to tape with simultaneous translation to bridge the language gap.

If the General Manager will accept our invitation, in this episode we will pair them with Mr. Zhang Guo Liang, Secretary of the Yi Li Region of Xinjiang Province. Mr. Zhang is familiar with our show as we invited him last year when we were in Xinjiang. Indeed he was very happy! In fact, he proved to be an entertaining and approachable guest who even joined in with some traditional dancing after the show! I hope I will be able to discuss the theme and content of this show with you, which will surround the cultural aspects of Western China with an emphasis on the approaching Travel Festival in Yi Li, which starts on June 20th and finishes on August 20th. Exchange of thoughts and feeling about culture, entertainment and travel from both a Chinese and a Western perspective will create an intelligent and enjoyable show.

Why did we choose TravelChinaGuide.com? Well, I believe the TravelChinaGuide.com brand has an exceptional perspective on China, for the benefit of its tourists and clients who travel from around the world. TravelChinaGuide.com is a useful website guide for foreigners too, who place their trust in a company with a strong reputation for providing quality holidays. With this angle on tourism, we think you are a wonderful choice as a guest. In fact, for such a dynamic show as this, where we will fly across China, setup and produce a show on location, meet some fascinating people and then return to Beijing in 5 days with a fresh viewpoint of the Xinjiang Province, I am certain TravelChinaGuide.com is suited to our show.

In our past 200+ shows our past guests have included:

Dr. Koichiro Matsuura, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO);
Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO);
Gary Locke, Governor of Washington State;
Willie Brown, Mayor of San Francisco;
