Day 01: Arrival in Haikou
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Haikou Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city. You may enjoy the evening scenery of Haikou by yourselves.

Day 02: Haikou - Xinglong - Sanya
Transfer to Xinglong, you can overlook the Wanquan River on the way. Visit the Tropical Botanical Garden in Xinglong. Continue to drive to Sanya and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Miao Minority Village. (B+L)

Yalong Bay, Sanya

Day 03: Sanya
The morning is free. In the afternoon, visit the Ultima Thule and the Buddha Culture of Nanshan. (B)

Day 04: Sanya
The day is free. You may cruise on West Island and enjoy the sun shine at East Sea beach. (B)

Day 05: Departure from Haikou
Visit the Yalong Bay, which is called the "Oriental Hawaii". Drive to Haikou and see off. (B+L)

I spent a couple weeks on Hainan and highly recommend getting inland for a while if you can. I started in Haikou, dug the old colonial architecture, temples and beaches for a few days and then headed across the island on route 224 to Sanya. I think it's much better than what you'll get on the coastal expressways--you really see Hainan and its people in a totally different way! You pass through Miao and Li villages and if you stop and spend some time you might find yourself welcomed to dinner and a place to stay even though people don't have a lot they are very generous and kind! The language gap is nothing when kindness and generousity is in play! (Be prepared of course to give some money as courtesy and of course it will be cheaper for you than any hotel and a unique experience AND you give people who can really use the money something!). I saw some of the most beautiful kids in the world on my trip! You can also hike around in jungle inland--amazing! Not really dveloped for it so better, I think. But bring bug spray and bandaids! Specially recommend Baihua Mountain and its big waterfall near Qiongzhong. And Wuzhi Mountain, also Hainan's biggest is beautiful. then you can go on to Sanya and stay in a nicer place to relax from the adventures in jungles and mountains.

Here are some tips about travel in Sanya for reference:

The first one is about transportation. Do remember it only costs no more than 30 RMB if you take a taxi from the airport to the urban area. Don't be cheated by the butter-tonsiled taxi driver upon your arrival.

Second, the temperature difference on the island is great. Outer coat or a long-sleeved shirt is necessary. Also, except for the effective sunblock,
bringing your own shampoo is appreciated. The seawater has a great harm to your pretty hair and the one provided in the hotel is really disappointing.

Third, some medicine like berberine should be taken with you which is very protective to the seafood lovers.

The last one is some good places to have a seafood feast. The Palm Grove of Eastern Suburb in Dadonghai (in Chinese "大东郊椰林"), the Seafood Plaza of Spring Garden (in Chinese "春园海鲜广场") are highly recommended.

Have not found your Xiamen package tours, but want to recommend some hightlights for your reference:
1. Gulangyu island, one of the most beautiful area in China. Ideal place for holiday
2. KeJia Buildings which is about 260km away from Xiamen. It may take about 1-2 days for visit.
