Located in the Dacien Temple in the southern suburb of Xian City, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the extant most famed ancient tower in Xian, hence the symbol of the old-line Xian. It was originally built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) for the store of Buddhist sutras that were taken from India by the monk Xuanzang. Now it has become a hot tourist attraction in Xian.
