Despite of civil wars and political disunity, the arts of poetry, calligraphy, paintings and music, culture and advanced technologies flourished during the Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties(265-589AD). During this time, Chinese Buddhism had become mature and spread greatly. Buddhist statues, murals and temples had also developed at an unprecedented rate.
