2 Days Shunan Bamboo Sea

Shunan Bamboo Sea is located between Jiangan and Changning Counties, south of Sichuan. It covers 120 square kilometers with numerous bamboos, diverse waterfalls and sightseeing everywhere. Such a unique and sequestered place lures many people come to here to enjoy the fresh air and peace. The famous American Chinese film director, Ann Li, chose the bamboo sea as one of important scenes in his masterpiece "Crouching tiger, Hidden dragon".

Shunan Bamboo Sea, Chengdu

You can take the tourist bus from Chengdu to Shunan Bamboo Sea directly. The first bus sets off at 8:00 every morning. The journey time is 4 hours and it costs CNY85.00 net per person. You may either take bus or train to Yibin and there you can find many buses to the Bamboo Sea. Upon your arrival, you may visit the Bamboo Museum and Worry-Dispelling Valley for the rest of day. The Worry-Dispelling Valley is a narrow and long valley, along which, vast expense of bamboo stand there. What a deep and serene picture! As its name indicates, wandering around the Worry-Dispelling Valley, you will forget all the worries and get peace to your mind. The entrance fee of Bamboo Sea is CNY85.00 net per person. Stay in the tourist area for one night. There are many hotels you can choose, but staying at the temples or farmhouse will be new experience.

The next day you may visit Cloud-watching Pavilion, Jade Long Corridor, Immortal Living Cave, Tianbaozhai and the Fairy Lake. If you get tired by hiking, you may easily find the cable car, tourist bus and taxi in the tourist area. Take the bus back to Chengdu.

2 Days of Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain

Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain is 95 kilometer northwest to Chengdu. Located in Dayi County, it covers almost 482.8 suqare kilometers. The highest altitude is 5364 meters. The virgin forest coverage is 90 percentage within the tourist area. With the diverse climate zones, different sceneries attract many people during the whole year.

Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain. Chengdu

The transportation to Mt. Xiling is very convenient. From Chengdu New South Gate bus station and Jinsha bus station, you can take the bus to Xiling Snow-Covered Mountain directly. The first bus departs at 8:30. The ticket is CNY20.00 net per person. After about one hour, you will arrive at the tourist area. Or you can take bus to Xiling town and there are many buses to the Snow Mountain.

Xiling Snow-Cover Mountain is divided to two parts, the anterior and the posterior. The main tourist sites are in the posterior part, which includes Hongshijian, Hongshi Fort, Yeniudao, Riyueping and Yinyangjie. You can either ski in the Ski Resort. With the altitude of 2200 to 2400 meters, the ski resort covers almost 8 square kilometers. The average temperature all year is 10 Celsius. The snow is as thick as 60 to 80 centimeter. All these conditions make it as the largest mountain ski resort in China. The most highlight in Xiling mountain is Yinyangjie with the altitude 3200 kilometers, which is located in the boundary of plateau climate and basin climate. The special geographical position makes the unique scenery. One side is clear and sunny, while the other side is cloudy and misty, which is like the Yin and Yang in Taiji diagram. So it called Yinyangjie.
