About the Taj Mahal:
Taj Mahal is the most renowned attraction in India. When you get to this time-honored country, you cannot miss it. It is also a nice spot to take artistic pictures, thus it is always popular for photographers and shutterbugs. Built with white marbles and mounted with diamonds from the world, it is a grand mausoleum in a symmetrical layout, together with masjids on both sides and a beautiful garden. Famous for the love stories of the emperor and his wife, the Taj Mahal attracts quite a few couples, too.

Best Visit Time:
Sunrise or sunset is the best time to visit the Taj Mahal. At sunrise, the Taj Mahal has its unique charm different from other moments. But during winter season in India, it is hardly to see a sunrise there due to the dense fog and pollution. But it is still a good idea to come here earlier than others to avoid the crowds. If you visit this site in the afternoon, then come here a little late but at the time when it is still with plenty of light. The marble material of the main body reflects different colors under sunrise and sunset, that is to say, noon is not a good time since the sunlight is too strong, and the photos will be too bright and white.

Best Location for Shooting:
The best photo spots are almost on the central axis. In the morning, the Taj Mahal is usually in warm golden sunlight. When you enter the scenic area, you can see it through the arch gate. In the front of the pool in the garden, there is an iron handrail by water. It is one of the hottest photo site, from where you can take a picture of the front Taj Mahal as well as the garden. If you are lucky, you may catch the image of the well-known reflection of the frontal Taj Mahal on the water surface.

The two marble benches beside the pool are also hot sites for photos. Deceased Princess Diana sat here and leave a picture when she visited India. Since then, many tourists follow the example to pose for photographs on the benches. However, you need to queue for photographing at these two spots mentioned above. Don't worry, only a little waiting time you will spend as there are not so many people at sunrise.

The stone edge along the long rectangular pool is fine to have the reflections of Taj Mahal from all angles on your camera. At the mosque on the east side, it is in the backlight in the morning, but you can see the Taj Mahal with the particular beauty of backlighting through the camera lens. You can also take a snap on the lawn or on the other side of the river, which are all the good places to photograph the Taj Mahal.

In the afternoon, you can go to Agra Fort to overlook the Taj Mahal. At this time, the light is smooth and suitable for long telephoto lenses.

On the eve of sunset, get to the Mehtab Bagh garden opposite to the Taj Mahal, it is well known as the Moonlight Garden, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a place to enjoy the Taj Mahal on the full moon nights, with the white marble monument is reflected on the clear water of the Yamuna River. Many photographers gather here, especially when the weather is pleasant. Please do get there earlier to get a better position, the photos must make the jaw drop.
