Costa Rica Volcano & Rainforest

Welcome to Costa Rica! Our driver will wait for you at Juan Santamaria International Airport and send you to the hotel. During the rest of the day, you can stroll around in the city center, or go to visit Museo Nacional de Costa Rica where you can have a comprehensive understanding of Costa Rica's history, culture, and other contents. Teatro Nacional and the Greek Orthodox style Catedral Metropolitan are also the great places to visit.

Today the driver will lead you to La Fortuna, the town where the Arenal Volcano is located. The whole journey is 147 km and will take 3 hours. On the way, we will pass by beautiful and austere countryside, local coffee plantations and forests. We will stop on the way and take a tour to visit the Poas Volcano, the Doka Coffee Plantation and La Paz Waterfall Gardens with driver guide. When take the Doka Coffee tour, you will know how to pick, clean, bake and grind the coffee bean. Finally, the driver will transfer you to La Fortuna, check in the hotel and get ready for next day's Arenal Volcano tour.

Today we will go to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridge Park to experience famous 'sky walk'. You can find diverse birds, flowers, sloths and so on. In the afternoon, we will visit Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. There are several steaming hot spring rivers near it, which attract a large number of tourists every day. Besides, we will visit Arenal Lake and La Fortuna Waterfall. In the evening, we will arrange for you a comfortable hot spring spa in Tabacon Spring, at the foot of Arenal Volcano.

After having breakfast in the hotel, we will make a 230 km journey to Manuel Antonio by driver. On the way, we will get off to join a Group Crocodile Boat Tour Adventure Connection at Tarcoles River and watch a brilliant crocodile show. After 4.5 hours, we will arrive our hotel in Manuel Antonio.

In the morning, we plan to tour around Manuel Antonio National Park, a famous seaside park. You can find various exotic flora in the rainforest, as well as different birds with colorful feathers, such as macaws and cockatoos. There are many monkeys jumping around in the forests. These local monkeys' hair is black on the lower part and white on the upper part, sometimes walking around you, or standing on a branch with their hands outstretched for food. Sloths are also commonly seen here, but they move so slowly and have green skin, so sometimes they are hard to be seen from the trees. You are free to do anything you like in the afternoon. We advise you to swim in the warm sea water, or lie on the beach and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the tropical ocean.

You can arrange your itinerary freely in the morning. We will return to the hotel in San Jose in the afternoon by driver. It will take around 3 hours with 160 km on the way.
