Shenyang South Railway Station is about 18.5 kilometers (11.5 miles) from Shenyang Imperial Palace, 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from Shenyang Railway Station, 21 kilometers (13 miles) from Shenyang North Railway Station, and 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) from Taoxian International Airport.

Shenyang South Railway Station serves as an intermediate stop of Harbin – Dalian and Shenyang – Dandong High Speed Railways. This station mainly operates high speed trains to/from Beijing, Tia njin, Shanghai, Harbin, Dalian, Dandong, Qinhuangdao, Shanhaiguan, Tangshan, Jinan, Xuzhou, Qufu, Nanjing and Suzhou etc.

Covering an area of 480,000 square meters (574,075 square yards), South Train Station is made up of a six-storey terminal building and the east square at present. The phase two of South Station will finish by 2030 by then the west square will be built and the South Railway Station will become a more comprehensive transportation hub in the city.

 -1F: arrival hall, ticket office, taxi stand, long-distance bus, bus stop
 -2F: parking lot
 -3F: metro platform for line 4 and line 10 in the future
  Arrival by bus: 100, 139, 333

Passengers will arrive in front of the east square if going there by city bus. For leaving the station, passengers can go to the northeast corner on -1F to take city bus.

 Arrival by metro: line 4, line 10 (not opened yet)

In the near future, metro line 4 and line 10 will connect this station with downtown area. The metro platforms are located on -3F. When arriving by metro, passengers can go to the waiting hall by lift.

 Arrival by taxi:
Passengers arriving by taxi will be dropped off at the drop-off area on the second floor. In order to leave the station, passengers can find the taxi stands on -1F.

 Arrival by long-distance bus:
Passengers are advised to get off at the font square if arriving by long-distance bus. For leaving, they can go to the -1F to take long-distance bus.
  Shenyang Imperial Palace
Take bus no. 333 to get there directly.

 Shenyang Railway Station
Take bus no. 333 to Daximen first, and then walk about 340 meters (370 yards) southward to Huaiyumen to take metro line 1 to the destination.

 North Railway Station
Take bus no. 333 to the North Station directly.

 Taoxian International Airport
Take bus no. 100 to Zhihui Sijie Quanyunlu Stop and then change to bus no. 108 to Guoji Ruanjianyuan where passengers can take tram line 2 to the airport directly. Although traveling like that costs less, it takes almost 2 hours and needs to transfer three times. If possible, it is advised to travel by taxi, which will save a lot of trouble.
  Ticket office
Ticket offices are spread on 2F, 1F and -1F respectively. More than 50 ticket windows are set up for passengers to purchase, refund or change tickets.

 Waiting Hall
About 2,000 seats are provided in the waiting hall on 3F. Checking points, toilets and hot drink water, as well as stores are all available inside the waiting hall.
