Taxi
Official taxi stands can be found outside of the Dunhuang Airport. It is regulated that taxi drivers should charge by meter, so you can ask to use the taximeter. It costs CNY5 for the first 3 kilometers (2 miles) and CNY1.8 for extra kilometer (0.6 mile).

Facilities & Services of Dunhuang Airport

Luggage Cart: They are successively located in the Departure and Arrival Hall. Passengers can use them for free.

Water Fountain: There are three kinds of water fountain offered in the terminal building: common pure water with disposable paper cups, automatic watering machines offering cold and hot water and automatic electronic heater.

Nursing Room: It is equipped with baby dressing table, sink, chairs and some simple toys. Mothers can nurse and change babies here.

Obstacle-free Facilities: There are many obstacle-free facilities in the terminal for the convenience of handicapped passengers, i.e. low counters and phones, obstacle-free washing rooms, water fountains and passage, special chairs and parking lot. Additionally, there are also blind roads, Braille, service bell and flashing lights for instruction inside the terminal building.

Passengers can also found Post Office, Children's Playing Area and Changing Room in the terminal building.

Is there direct flight from Dunhuang to Urumqi?

I am planning to go to DH to Urumqi on 18/9, then to Turpan. Is the best way for travel as a round trip?

Well, there is no direct flight between these two places on that day.
Thus you can take a train to Jiayuguan first. Then transfer to the train to Urumqi.
About the trip from Urumqi to Turpan, you can take the bullet train from Urumqi South Railway Station and get to Turpan North Railway Station directly. The duration is about an hour. The ticket fare of second class seat is CNY49 and first class seat is CNY58.5.

we arrive in the airport at 9 o'clock, is it possible to sleep in Dunhuang airport?

Well, there is no free hotel inside the airport. But you can just stay at the public area and wait your flight.

I plan to fly from Beijing to Dunhuang on May 12, and spend two days in, and then fly to Shanghai on May 14. Are there directly flights runs between all three cities? If so, how can I get the necessary information about the schedule and airfare, etc.? Thanks.
