Mr.Sandy replied:

It think thy are the same, actually.
Transport between HK and Shenzhen: better to choose MTR via East Rail between Luohu and Hung Hom. The ticket fare is 33HKD. Transport between HK and Macau: by ferry, the ferry ticket is about 140HKD and cost a bit more in weekends. HK-Macay Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan or CHina Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tuis all have ferry routes to Macau. Between Macau and Shenzhen, recommend going by ferry which is faster. The fare is about 170RMB. While the Sky Pier in HK AIrport also has buses to Shenzhen and ferry to both Macau ans Shenzhen.

Mr.ariel(israel) replied:

Shenzhen is very close and you can go by Bus or Ferry.
Although the Bus is cheaper ~$100hk, the Ferry ~$200hk is much more convenient because you don't have to go through Hong Kong border control. There are 2 ports in Shenzhen depending where you want to go.
Go straight to the Ferry transfer desk before passport control and they will even get your bags from the belt and put them on the ferry.
Go to Guangzhou by Bus from Shenzhen, then back to Hong Kong city by train from Guangzhou ~180RMB.

hello, good day! my sister and I will be travelling to hongkong, macau and shenzhen next week. We will be arriving in hongkong airport. Since this will be our first time we do not know how to travel from hongkong-macau-shenzhen- back to hongkong or which ever is more convenient and can save us money especially the fares. Hope you can give us directions on where and how and can suggest the cheapest possible transportations and each fares so we can budget our money. Please help us also in booking the hotels. Can we just go directly to the hotel on the day of our check-in without prior reservations? And if possible can you suggest where to go the tourist attractions in the 3 cities too? Thank you very much!

Mr.Mark(CN) replied:

Firstly, please book your hotel in advance so that you may avoid from unexpected troubles.
Secondly, do you have a China Visa which will be required when you enter into Shenzhen. If you do, I think you could go to do the travel as HK->Shenzhen->Macau->HK or HK->Macau-Shenzhen->HK

Buses could be used for traveling betweem HK and Shenzhen as well as Shenzhen and Macau. But, only ferry is supplied between HK and Macau. Well, I think you should make a brief travel plan in advance.

any good advise to short travelling? thank u

Mr.Andrew replied:

Travel by ferry both from Shenzhen to Macau and Macau to Hong Kong. I takes more than 3 hours from Shenzhen to Macau by bus, but one hour by ferry (at Shekou port of Shenzhen). Except expensive helicapter, by ferry is the only fast and economical way to go between Hong Kong and Macau.

Can anyone tell me if ther's bus from shenzhen airport to xiamen ? what are the schedules & fares ? Thanks

Oct. 27,2009 01:06
Mr.Jerry replied:

No, there isn't. Shenzhen is 8 hours by bus from Xiamen. It is impossble to open a shuttl bus service at Shenzhen Airport. The fastest way is by air, 1 hour. If you want to take train, you should get to Dongguan from Shenzhen airport first and then change trains to Xiamen (10 hours).

Hi there,

Two issues here:

I am arriving at Shenzhen airport fr Zhangjiajie around 0020hrs & catching a flight out fr Hong Kong airport 9 hrs later.
Ques: is there hotel in Shenzhen Airport/what is the name of the nearest hotel nearby.
How can I get a shuttle service to take me to HK airport?

From my country, to come to China requires a visa. If I exit mainland China via Shenzhen to Hong Kong and then re-enter via Shenzhen, do I require another visa?

Thanks!

Mr.Jamie replied:

Hi.
Airline Hotel ShenZhen is within the airport opposite the terminal building. It is a 3-star hotel or this one:

As to the shuttle bus, yes, there are direct bus from SHenzhen Airport to Hong Kong airport, but the earliest bus is at 8:20 and arrives 2-2.5 hours later. You will miss the flight.

Yes, you need multu-entry visa. You do not need visa to Hong Kong, but need visa to Shenzhen and other places of mainland China.
