Changchun Longjia International Airport

Airport Code: CGQ

Changchun Longjia International Airport is the largest civil airport in Jilin Province. The terminal building covers 201,000 square meters (50 acres) which enables it a yearly capacity of handling 16,000,000 passengers. It is located on the convergence of Jiutai District and Longjia Town, about 21 kilometers (13 miles) to Changchun's city area and 62 kilometers (39 miles) to Jilin City.

Changchun Airport is presently connected to over 70 domestic cities including Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai and Shenyang, and serves international flights to Hong Kong, South Korea (Seoul), Japan (Tokyo, Sendai and Nagoya), Russia (Vladivostok and Irkutsk). More international flights will be available in the near future, like those to/from Sydney.

How to Travel between Longjia Airport and Downtown Changchun

Five airport shuttle bus lines link the airport and the city proper. Passengers can choose them to Changchun Railway Station, Nanguan City Terminal, and Garden Hotel, etc.

Train

The Longjia High Speed Train Station is located 345 meters (380 yards) south of Terminal 1 of Changchun Longjia Airport. The two are connected by the underground passageway. To transfer between T2 and the train station, a corridor is available. The Railway Station operates trains to and from Changchun Railway Station and Changchun West Railway Station. Generally speaking, it spends 15 minutes on the way with the fare of CNY 8.5 to 15 per person.

Taxi

Compared with the price of airport shuttle buses, about CNY80-150 taxi fare is expensive, however convenient. Additional CNY5 should be paid if taxis manage to get inside the airport and it is necessary to pay while getting out.

How to Travel between Changchun Airport and Jilin City

1. Airport Intercity Bus

2. Train

Besides direct airport shuttle bus, passengers can also take the direct train from Airport Longjia Railway Station to Jilin. The train schedules are from 06:36 to 20:39 with the frequency of 30-60 minutes. The travel time is around 30-40 minutes, and the train ticket fares are CNY 22.5 for Second Class Seat and CNY 37 for First Class Seat.

3. Taxi

It is not economical to take a taxi to Jilin, unless it is too late in the evening and no shuttles buses and trains are in service. Generally speaking, at least CNY200 – CNY300 is needed for the 90 kilometers (about 56 miles) to Jilin City.

For the sake of safety, it is suggested that staying one night in Changchun and then transfer to a bus or train to Jilin in the early morning.

The terminal is well-equipped with such facilities as smoking rooms, first-class lounges, banks, post office, shops, etc, and specially designed with 7 boarding bridges, which greatly expedite the procedures of either departure or arrival.

Overnight stay at the airport

Our flight will arrive at 20.55 pm. We’re afraid not be able to take the last shutter bus to Jilin, Is that possible for us (6 sr.women) to stay overnight at the airport until next early morning?

Though you can not catch a train from Longjia Airport to Jilin, but it is possible to catch a bus or minivan to Jilin. Generally, it costs CNY 50 per person to take a bus and CNY 100 to take a 9-seat van.

When we arrive Changchun International Airport, we can locate Longjia station from airport ?
If yes, this Longjia station can go Jilin direct ?

Yes, the station is near the airport and you can go to Jilin directly from the station. It takes only about 30 minutes.

Does trains from Longjia Airport goes to Changbaishan Station?

Would like to know:
1. Does trains from Longjia Airport/ station goes to Changbaishan Station?
2. If yes,is that a direct train or we need to transit from somewhere?
3. Where could we buy train tickets?
4. Is there places to have lunch/ dinner in Longjia Airport/ station?

1&2. Yes, there are 2 direct trains from Longjia Station to Changbaishan Station each day recently.

4. There are restaurants and food booths at both Longjia airport and station, more at the airport. Take it easy~

transfer from T1 to T2 at CGQ Changchun

I have 2 hours 50 min to transit from T1 to T2 /International to Domestic/ at CGQ airport in January 2020? Is it enough to collect my bag at T1 and register at T2?

What are the interesting places to visit in Changchun?

Hi, I am on the verge of making Changchun as one to visit. I will like to know what are the places i can go and also Jilin is on my list too. What is the convenient way of going Jilin? Thank you very much for your response.

Well, you can visit Changbai mountain, Jingyuetan National Forest Park, Jilin Provincial Museum, etc. It is very easy and convenient to take high speed train from Changchun railway station to Jilin railway station.
