By Air
Shaoxing does not have its own airport. The nearest airport is Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH), which is about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) away in Hangzhou. It could easily be a transfer station for your trip to Shaoxing. Arriving at this airport, you could then take the shuttle bus to Shaoxing. What's more, there are daily flights to Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau, Guilin, Kunming and Lijiang. International flights to Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore and Bangkok are also available.
Here is the time schedule of the shuttle bus to and from Shaoxing:

The shuttle bus stops at Jinghu Hotel in Keqiao Town (about 10 kilometers from Shaoxing City) and the Dynasty Hotel on Shengli Road in Shaoxing City. The whole trip costs over an hour. If you are pressed for time, taking a taxi may be a better choice. It takes just around 45 minutes.
A shuttle bus is not only run between Shaoxing City and the airport but also between Zhuji City (of Shaoxing prefecture) and the airport. Here is the schedule:

If you would like to take the shuttle bus, you can dial 0575-7225551 to book the ticket. However, advance booking for the first bus at 06:00 and the last bus at 18:30 is not available.

By Train
The Shaoxing Railway Station is not a large one. It is located on Chezhan Road, Ring Road North and can be reached by Bus No. 1, 2, 4, 7, 30, 35, 303 and 30. In this station, trains to and from the main large cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xian are available. It takes about one hour and a half from Shaoxing to Ningbo, about one hour to Hangzhou and two hours and a half to Shanghai. There are more than 20 trains heading for Ningbo from Shaoxing Railway Station with an irregular interval within 2 hours. There are 5 trains heading for Hangzhou with an interval of 2.5 hours to 4 hours. In addition, there are 7 trains to Shanghai that stop at Shaoxing Railway Station with an interval of 1 to 5 hours.

By Long-distance Bus
The road system in Shaoxing is well developed. Many highways and smaller roads lead in all directions, providing convenient transportation to and from Shaoxing. There are five bus stations in Shaoxing:
Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center lies to the east side of the Chang'an Roundabout in Shaoxing. Covering an area of over 70 mu (11.5 acres), the station can hold over 200 buses. Buses here are mainly interprovincial or intercity. They are heading for the main cities of Shandong, Hubei, Jiangsu, Henan, Anhui, Shanghai, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Chongqing etc. The Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center can be reached by Bus No. 8, 12, 13, 17, 23, 26, 27, 32, 35, 88, 312, and 217.

Shaoxing East Bus Station is located at No.516, Ring Road East of Shaoxing City. Buses here are mainly heading for Shangyu, Shengzhou and eastern Shaoxing County. Local buses No. 1, 7, 10, 37, 26, 38 and 25 are available to get to Shaoxing East Bus Station.
Shaoxing West Bus Station is located in the west gate of Shaoxing City. It covers an area of 11 mu (1.8 acres). Here buses heading for Zhuji City of Shaoxing are available. The Shaoxing West Bus Station can be reached by Bus No.10 and No.35.
Shaoxing North Bus Station is located at No.2, Jiefang Road (North) of Shaoxing City. Shaoxing North Bus Station and Shaoxing South Bus Station mainly provide service southerly and northerly to and from Shaoxing County.

Shanghai to Shaoxing: by bullet train: two hours and the fare is 70/83RMB, the same as the bus ticket price but faste in speed
Shaoxing to Yiwu: by bus at Shaoxing West Bus Station: 2 hours, ticket about 40RMB
YIwu to Shanghai: need 3.5 hours by bus. Suggest you take trains (T trains or D trains). Those trains can take you to Shanghai in 2-3 hours. D train fare: 97/116RMB, T train: 47/72RMB

Take D trains from Shaoxing to Shanghai South Railway Station (2 hours) then take Airport Bus Line 7 to Pudong Airport, directly. Pick-up point is in the south square bwtween South Train Station and South Bus Station of Shanghai, next to Exit 2 of subway Station and Bus 867 stop. The airport bus runs one hour if the traffic is fine.

The last bus from Pudong airport to Hangzhou leaves at 19:30. If you miss the bus, you should get to Shanghai South Railway Station to catch trains to Hangzhou, for the trains to Shaoxing are not available at that time. Last train from Hangzhou to Shaoxing leaves at 20:46. Hangzhou East Bus Station has buses to Shaoxing and the last leaves at 20:30. If you can not make it, Then, you can rent a taxi to Shaoxing, which is about 1 hours from Hangzhou City center.

Do you mean the Taizhou City in Zhejiang? If so, you could take the express bus from Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center to Linhai of Taizhou. There are three buses respectively leaving at 07:45, 12:50 and 15:50. The journey is about 3~3.5 hours and costs about 65RMB.

From Hangzhou to Linhai, the Hangzhou East Bus Station has frequent coaches to Linhai from 06:35 to 19:20 about every 30 minutes. It takes 3 hours one the way and costs 96RMB per person.
From Shaoxing to Linhai,the Shaoxin Passenger Transport Center has three coaches to Linhai respectively at 07:45, 12:50 and 15:50. The fare is about 64RMB.

Well, a well equipped apartment is about 400RMB to 600RMB per month in terms of the apartments' location. Actually, it is easy to find an apartment with two bedrooms and a sitting room in Shaoxing. And, the fare should be about 600RMB, very economical~

The distance is 60 kilometes. There are only four trains between them and take 2.5 hours on the way. So, please take bus from Shangxing West Bus Station to Zhuji City. The buses here depart once every 30 minutes and just take 1 hour. The fare is 17yuan per person.

Hi,Okita! My friend lives in Keqiao, Shaoxing. Her apartment with two bedrooms and nothing else (equipment and furnature), cost her 700-800 per month. So, I guess, in the city of Shaoxing, well-equipped apartment, should be about 2000 or more. It also depends on which part of the city. Good luck.

There are totally 28 train to Yuyao passing Shaoxing. The lastest is at 10:08pm and the earlest is at 2am or so. The fastest train can take you there in 40 minutes. Every a few minutes or hours, there will be one. SO, it depends on when do ou want to leave. nice trip. If you want specific info, I would like to help then.
