Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Urumqi - Buerjin
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a short break. Visit the Southern Pasture. Take an overnight sleeper coach to Buerjin.

Day 02: Buerjin - Chonghuer
Cycle about 90km to Chonghuer along a blacktop. Stay overnight in a local hotel.

Day 03: Chonghuer - Kanas Lake
Cycle about 55km to the entrance of Kanas Lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of desert, grassland and forests en route. Cycle another 5km, pass through Kanas River and turn left in a crossroad. Then cycle forward about 30km to Kanas Lake.

Day 04: Kanas Lake
Cycle to the bank of the Kanas Lake in the early morning and enjoy the remarkable view of Kanas Lake with fog permeating it. The rest of the day is for you to explore the mysterious Kanas Lake. Cycling to Watching Fish Pavilion is recommended. You can have a bird view of Kanas Lake here.

Day 05: Kanas Lake - Chonghuer 
Cycle along a nice road to Shenxian Bay and then another 2km to beautiful Moon Bay. Then cycle downhill to Chonghuer and stay overnight there.

Day 06: Chonghuer - Aletai
Start along the only road to the mountain and cycle into the mountain at a crossroad. Then move on for over 21km to the summit of the mountain. En route, you will see a big rock on your left and a spring on your right. Cycle downhill to the foot of mountain and then ride for over 7km along No. 217 national road to the Aletai.

Day 07: Aletai
Free for you to cycle around this area. Birch Forests Garden is recommended.

Day 08: Aletai - Beitun
Cycle about 55km to Beitun and stay overnight there.

Day 09: Beitun - Fuhai
Cycle about 20km along No. 216 national road to the pass of the Golden Beach. Cycle another 12km to Golden Beach. Enjoy the beautiful beach and scenery. Then cycle along No. 216 national road to the local food street, which is 16km away from Fuhai and taste local fish. Stay overnight in Fuhai.

Day 10: Departure from Fuhai - Urumqi
Take a morning coach to Urumqi and arrive in Urumqi in the afternoon. Your bicycle tour ends here.
