Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Urumqi
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a good rest. Get prepared for your coming exciting cycling in Xinjiang.

Day 02: Urumqi - Heavenly Lake
Cycle 110km east to the foot of Heavenly Lake, a crescent-shaped lake. Stay overnight in a local Kazak Yurt.

Day 03: Heavenly Lake
Cycle about 26km to the top of the Heavenly Lake along a winding mountain path. Then have a cruise tour on the lake. Cycle around the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Stay overnight in a local yurt hotel.

Day 04: Heavenly Lake - Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve
In the morning, cycle down to the bottom of the lake and head east on a country road to an ancient relic called Beiting. Visit the Site of the Seat of the Beiting Region. Then cycle north to Wucaiwan. In the afternoon, cycle to Kalamali Wildlife Reserve for a visit of many wild animals, including wild horses and Mongolian Ibex. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 05: Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve
Cycle north in Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and view the rare wild animals and desert plants.

Day 06: Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve
Cycle north in Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and view the rare wild animals and desert plants.

Day 07: Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve
Cycle north in Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and view the rare wild animals and desert plants.
 

Day 08: Kalamaili Wildlife Reserve - Fuyun County
Cycle to Fuyun County and stay overnight in a local hotel.

Day 09: Fuyun County - Altay City
Drive to Altay City. En route, visit some local villages, and farms in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Day 10: Altay City - Kanas Lake
Drive to Kanas Lake. Enjoy the picturesque landscape and the inverted image of snowcaps and tree-covered mountains on the lake's surface. Stay overnight in a local family.

Day 11: Kanas Lake - Altay City
Drive back to Altay City. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 12: Departure from Altay City - Urumqi
Fly to Urumqi in the morning. End your bicycle tour here.
