Day 1 Depart from New Zealand to Kathmandu
Today, you will take flight to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu by yourself. There are transit flights every day from Auckland to Kathmandu. Hereunder, we list two flight schedules for your reference.

You can take the Singapore Airlines flight SQ286 15:30/21:10 (10h40m) from Auckland to Singapore, stay over there for 12 hours, and then take the flight SQ440 09:10/12:10 (5h15m), with a total journey of 27 hours and 55 minutes to get to Kathmandu.

Also, you can choose the flight SQ282 01:45/07:10 (10h25m) to Singapore. After a short stay of 2 hours, you can connect the flight SQ440 09:10/11:40 (4h45m) to arrive in Kathmandu the same day. The whole flying time is 17 hours.
Day 2 Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, our guide will be waiting for you there and then transfer you to the well selected hotel. The rest of the day will be your free time. You may take a stroll in the surrounding area, or make some preparations for the trekking in the following days.

Day 3 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding: 3-4 hours
In the morning, take a 45-minute flight to Lukla; on the plane, you can get a bird's eye view of the Himalayas. Lukla is the starting point of our trekking, and we will trek for 3-4 hours today. Your guide will lead you to go hiking along the trail to Chelung, where you could see the holy mountain Khumbila. No one has conquered the holy mountain till now. Then we'll go down to Phakding (2,610 meters) and stay overnight there.

Day 4 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hours
Continue trekking after breakfast. Today we'll trek 5-6 hours to Namche Bazaar (3,427 meters), the largest town in the region of the Himalayas. During the trekking, we will go through the pine forest, cross Dudh Koshi River, Chumoa town and Monjo town. After that, we will get to the entrance of Mt. Everest National Park. Along the trail inside the park with incredible landscapes around, we will reach Namche Bazaar and check into the lodge.

Day 5 Namche Bazaar: acclimatization
Namche Bazaar is at an altitude of 3,427 meters, and we will have a full-day here, to adapt to the higher and higher altitude. If you feel uncomfortable, please tell your trekking guide. The experienced guide will help you to adapt to the alpine environment as soon as possible.

If you feel good, you may stroll to the market of Namche Bazaar, to see the local commodities in shops. You may also go to Sagarmatha National Park for the charming sunrise and the splendid peaks of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Kongde, and so on in the surroundings. If you are quite energetic, the one day hiking tour to Khumjung is also feasible, during which we would visit the Hillary School and a local monastery.

Day 6 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche: 5-6 hours
Today, we will trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867 meters), taking 5-6 hours. First, we will hike down along Dudh Koshi River, during which you can see the multiple peaks of the Himalayas. Then go up to reach Tengboche via rhododendron forests. After getting to Tengboche, you'll be guided to visit Tengboche Monastery - the largest temple in the region. Finally, we will check in a local lodge.

Day 7 Tengboche to Dingboche: 5-6 hours
We'll go downslope, hike through the dense forest and Imja River, and then arrive at Pangboche. After, climb up to the high points at Pangboche, where you will marvel at the Himalaya Range and Pangboche Monastery. After that, we'll go on trekking to Imja Valley, the Lobuche River and climb up to Dingboche (4,350 meters) finally.

Day 8 Dingboche: acclimatization
Dingboche has an altitude of 4,350 meters. We will stay here for one day to acclimatize to the altitude. If you feel good, we can arrange you a one-day hiking to Chukkhung Valley or Mt. Nagarjun nearby, where is nice to see the mountainous scenery of Makalu, Cholatse, Tawache, Lhots and Ama Dablam.

Day 9 Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche: 5-6 hours
After one-day acclimatization, we'll continue the trekking tour to higher altitude. We're going to climb to Duglha first, and then hike along a steep trail to Chupki Lhara. After heading to Khumbu glacier moraine, we will see the imposing peaks of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. Finally, we'll get to Lobuche (4,930 meters) along to valley. Then the following route would be comparatively easier to trek.

Day 10 Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and visit Everest Base Camp: 7-8 hours
Today we will go to Mt. Everest Base Camp via the vast Gorak Shep (5,150 meters). For the high altitude and thin air, it's difficult to trek on the highest place in the world. So follow your guide closely. We'll go through the sand dunes, stream and moraines before reaching the destination. At Mt. Everest Base Camp, you will see the mountains of Nuptse, Pumori and Khumbuste. Having a break at the base camp, we'll return to Gorak Shep for a good rest.

Day 11 Trek Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, return to Gorak Shep, helicopter flight to Kathmandu: 2-3 hours
We will start off in the early morning, heading to Kala Patthar (5,540 meters). Remember to put on your thickest clothes to keep warm, for the temperature is in an range of -14 - -10℃. We'll trek in the low temperature and struggle against strong winds. About one hour later, we'll arrive at Kala Patthar. It's the best site to see Mt. Everest in a 360-degree view closely, and the amazing scenery deserve the trudge. You can take photos of the world's highest peak. Later we'll go back to Gorak Shep, and take the helicopter back to Kathmandu.

Day 12 Kathmandu free day
Free time all day long for you. You may go to see the attractions in Kathmandu on your own. If you need a guide and the car, please contact your travel consultant in advance.

Day 13 Departure from Kathmandu, Take flight back to New Zealand
Today your Nepal tour from New Zealand will come to a successful conclusion. Our driver will escort you to the airport to catch your return flight. You can get back to Auckland by the Singapore Airlines flight SQ439 13:10/20:20 (4h55m) to Singapore first, then have a short stopover of 2 hours 30 minutes, and finally take the flight SQ285 22:50/13:45 (9h55m) to arrive at your home country. The total duration is 17 hours 20 minutes.
