Day 1 Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be met by our professional tour guide at the airport and escorted to your hotel. A brief presentation about the city and a tour will be offered by the guide en route. After check-in at the hotel, have a good rest to get prepared for the next day's activities, or take a walk through the bustling streets nearby to get an initial impression of the city.

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnel - Ho Chi Minh City
Take a morning tour to visit the Cu Chi Tunnel which was constructed against enemies during the American War. It was an ingenious way for the Vietnamese to use local skill to fight their war. And you may also learn much Vietnamese history from your guide here. In the afternoon, take a walking tour to some notable sites around Ho Chi Minh City. The stroll starts at the Opera House, which was built by the French in the classic Gothic style of architecture. Afterwards, you will be escorted to the Reunification Palace and have a free exploration of the bustling Ben Thanh Market to find some local artwork for souvenirs.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho
We will drive you to My Tho, which is 70kms away from Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will take a powerboat to visit the interesting Fish Market and the beautiful four islands. Relax at one of the beautiful villages to enjoy honey tea at Mr. Muoi Hai's house. Today, you will also get a chance to pass by sampan through the maze of water channels that make up the Mekong River. In the afternoon, drive you to Can Tho by private car and then the rest of the day is free time.

Day 4 Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Today, we will start the tour early around 06:00 in order we will not miss the bustling local floating market. Take a boat cruise along the Mekong River to visit the biggest floating market in Can Tho - Cai Rang floating market. During the harvest season, you will see numerous ships filled with fruits or vegetables for sale passing through. Later, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City and head for Hue by plane. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel and the rest of the day is free time.

Day 5 Hue
In the morning, we will drive you to visit the spectacular Tomb of Ming Mang, which is surrounded by beautiful lakes and gardens. The tomb has a unique blend of Vietnamese and French architecture, and you can hear some stories of the King from your tour guide. Then get on the Royal Dragon Boat and sail along the beautiful Perfume River to visit the serene Thien Mu Pagoda, which is sited on a hill above the river. Later, we'll transfer you to visit the must-see places in Hue - the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. At the end of the day, we will leave you some time to stroll the bustling Dong Ba Market.

Day 6 Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Today, we will transfer you to Hoi An, which is the most charming town in Vietnam. Along the way, we will pass through Da Nang for a short stopover trip. Laid-back Da Nang has one of the most beautiful coast lines and attracts people from all over the world. Today you will have chance to enjoy the view from the top of Hai Van Pass when passing by. Later, visit Non Nuoc Beach and Cham Museum and then continue on to Hoi An. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel with the help of your guide and you will have free time for the rest of the day.

Day 7 Hoi An
Take a full day walking tour to explore the enchanting ancient town with your guide. The town is a perfect mixture of ancient architecture, houses and temples as well as modern western restaurants and cafes. The historic sites you will visit today are the Japanese Bridge, a renowned Chinese Temple and former Vietnamese merchants' houses. And later, take a boat trip along the Huai River to Thanh Ha Pottery Village and see how local people work on their crafts. In the evening, the town became so romantic when the lights come on and you see colorful lanterns everywhere especially the flower lanterns floating on the river.

Day 8 Hoi An - Hanoi
The morning is free for you to explore the town on your own. In the afternoon, transfer to Da Nang airport to take a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel and the rest of the day is free time.

Day 9 Hanoi
Take a full day tour of Hanoi to discover the history and culture of this city. The trip starts from the Ho Chi Minh Complex and includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda. Note that Ho Chi Ming's Mausoleum is closed every Monday and Friday, as well as every Jun to Aug. When it is closed, we will visit Hoang Thanh Thang Long (Imperial Citadel of Thang Long) instead. Then we'll proceed to the West Lake area and visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple by the lakeside. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology and take a rickshaw ride along the streets of the Old Quarter. You will see so many shops here that sell various kinds of goods and it is interesting to discover that each street has its own specialty. At last, we will arrive at Hoan Kiem Lake where you may enjoy a special traditional Water Puppet Show.

Day 10 Hanoi - Halong Bay
Today, you'll visit one of the most amazing sightseeing spots in Vietnam, the World Heritage site of Halong Bay including an overnight stay on a boat. After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a 3-hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. (The description of the itinerary for today and tomorrow is just a sample for our standard tour. The program is different on other luxury cruises & subject to change depending on the weather. Full details are available upon request). Upon arrival, get on a junk and have a welcome lunch on-board as you sail the mysterious bay. For the rest of the day, enjoy your time viewing the spectacular scene of hundreds of limestone islands scattered throughout the sea. There are also a variety activities for you to enjoy like visiting caves, kayaking or swimming. Have a good sleep tonight on-board floating on the soft sea.

Day 11 Halong Bay - Hanoi - Luang Prabang
If you wake up early, you may want to join in a Tai Chi class on the upper deck in the morning. Then have a cup of coffee or tea before you take a rowboat to further explore some beautiful islands nearby. Return to the junk and have a big brunch as you cruise back to Halong City. We'll drive you to Hanoi airport to catch a flight to Luang Prabang, an amazing city in Laos. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free time for you to get a good rest.

Day 12 Luang Prabang
On your first day in Luang Prabang, we will spend the day outside the city to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful Mekong River with a stopover at Pak Ou Caves. On the way back to Luang Prabang, we visit two local villages, Ban Xieng Lek and Ban Xang Khong, which are famous for making Saa Jute Paper, a traditional kind of Paper in Laos. Return to the city in the late afternoon. Gather your strength for a climb up to the top of Mount Phousi, the best place to get a full view of the city and the Mekong River. It is especially stunning when you get there at sunset. After you go down the mountain, there is a lively night market for you to explore at your leisure.

Day 13 Luang Prabang
The traditional alms-giving ceremony is a highlight in a Buddhist country like Laos, and it is specially worth watching when you are in Luang Prabang. In the early morning at around 06:00, lines of monks receive food from devout disciples on the street. You may get up early to watch it if you are interested. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then proceed to have a half day trip to Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun and the Royal Palace Museum which are the most important and splendid temples and sites in the city. In the afternoon, drive to beautiful Kuang Si Falls to enjoy the natural beauty.

Day 14 Departure from Luang Prabang
Enjoy the last of your leisure time in Luang Prabang and then we will transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight. Your memorable tour in Vietnam and Laos ends here.
