Rocky – The Best Tour Guide in Beijing!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Rocky as our tour guide for our visit to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Great Wall of China, and he was truly fantastic. From start to finish, Rocky was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made sure everyone in the group was happy, comfortable, and enjoying themselves the entire time. Private tour around China
We reached out only a few weeks before flying out to China and China Travel Guide was still able to book us a full three week private trip at very short notice. Our consultant Kina was very responsive and helpful when arranging everything. She was also very helpful when arranging our visa, providing all the necessary invitation letters etc.

The trip itself was excellent once we made it to China. All the train station and airport pick ups were super smooth and all the guides spoke very good English and were very knowledgeable. The sites visited were really good and we were actually thoroughly impressed with China as a whole. The people are lovely, the infrastructure is much better than in the U.K. where we are from, and the natural scenery around China is also fantastic.

The hotels were as expected given we paid for comfort rather than premium. The only small thing we would say is that it would have been good to have been notified that the fitness facilities (gym and pool) were closed in a few of the hotels. If we had known in advance we may have paid a bit extra so we could do some exercise in the evenings. That is only a small point really though and overall we thought it was an excellent, very well organised trip. Less

This was a fabulous tour! Michael Ren was a fantastic guide, full of information, history and stories... and his English was excellent. We were never rushed and given ample time for pictures and seeing each area we visited. We spend a few days in Xi A with our lovely guide Roger. A vibrant young man, very knowledgeable on many aspects, extra polite, he showed us around the city and the historical monuments of Xi An. Wonderful day in Xi’an
Carol have a wonderful tour. She communicated clearly the day before to confirm the pick up time. Her deep knowledge of the history of Xi’an made this an incredible experience. The Terra Cotta warriors were amazing to see in person, but everything on the tour was very interesting. Carol gave recommendations for lunch and helped with ordering. Our driver was courteous and safe. This is a great tour to learn more about Chinese history and customs.

A great day out in Xi’an
With only one day to see as much as possible in Xi’an, this tour was the ideal way to explore the city. My guide, Roger, was informative, attentive, and professional, and I appreciated learning about each place through his detailed commentary. I am recovering from an injury to my foot and was grateful that Roger accommodated my slower walking pace so I never felt rushed. An excellent eye opener to Xian
The tour is an excellent introduction to the history of Xian. The visit to the Terracotta Army museum was very well organized. After the museum, we went to the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Old City Wall.

Our guide Tracy was very friendly and she gave us a very concise story of the history of China’s dynasty. Her anecdotes and stories really made the drive to the museum fun and interesting.
She also gave us great tips on where to take the best photographs inside the museum.

The tour is an excellent introduction to the history of Xian. The visit to the Terracotta Army museum was very well organized. After the museum, we went to the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Old City Wall.

An ancient city worth a visit
Booked our trip to Xi'an with Travel China Guide. Our visit to Xi'an was short but covered all the important and interesting tour areas. In particular, we visited Terracotta Warriors, Great Wild Goose, Great Mosque and the city wall. Our tour guide Rita was very helpful in making our visit to Xi'an a memorable one. Did a last minute booking because I was not prepared for how big Shanghai was and was able to secure a private all day tour. Ryan, our tour guide, not only showed up early but had a driver ready to go. He took us to all the important spots on our list and answers all our questions. Zero language barrier. An excellent day tour of Shanghai
We had a great tour with our guide Helen. Everything went smoothly from the hotel pick up to the hotel drop off. Helen guided us through the beautiful Yu Garden after which we had some free time to explore the adjacent shops. Then we were driven to the Bund area for an hour long boat tour on the Huangpu river. Lunch was included at a very nice Chinese restaurant and we finished the day with some time in the Shanghai museum. An excellent day out with a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend More

A great way to see Shanghai in a day
Our day tour in Shanghai was a great experience and Juliet was an excellent guide. She was very informative and we enjoyed our time with her. The restaurant for lunch she chose was delicious and very reasonably priced. A great way to experience Shanghai in a day.

Lovely Shanghai!
We had a wonderful trip to Shanghai!

Our accommodations were amazing. We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the center of the city. We enjoyed a tour of Shanghai Tower which had an incredible view of the city. Day cruise, beautiful lunch, tea tasting and shopping helped round out our first day. The second day we made a drive to the famous Tongli Water Town. What a history lesson to be had! Great Shanghai tour with Helen
We spent two days with Helen and could not have been more pleased. Helen is extremely knowledgeable and informative regarding the history and culture of Shanghai and made sure we saw all the important sights. She was always considerate of our interests and made sure our trip was as comfortable as possible. Travel China did an excellent job with arrangements and the prepaid meals were delicious and always more food than we could eat. Highly recommend this company and Helen.

Unique Guilin - Yangshuo cruise and exploration
What a beautiful area of China this is! We had a picturesque river cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with the escort of our guide Kevin and later on explored the surrounding area of Yangshuo with him. Great trip; highly recommended
Alice (guide) & Mr Wei (driver) were amazing throughout the whole trip. Always punctual, communicated really well and gave a very good narrative on all the places we visited. The places we visited were magical, very nice attractions, Guilin is really beautiful. We loved every part of the itinerary and we could not recommend it enough.

6 days trip - Guilin, Yangshuo

We loved our experience in Guilin thanks to our guide Sally and the Travel China Guide company. Hotel and transportation were top notch and Sally couldn’t have been more attentive, patient and hospitable. Anything we needed she took care of. Oh, and by the way, the river cruise was truly breathtaking!

I visited Guilin as part of a 4 stop China Tour (Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Shanghai) organized by Travel China Guide. Our guide for the Guilin leg was an excellent guide named Qiuyan Li who took us to the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill, and the River Cruise. Panda sweet hospitality
Visiting Chengdu was an amazing experience but what made the whole experience more carefree was our guide Mrs. Claire Chen. One of the most smiling, polite, kind and knowledgeable guides we had. Great Panda Experience
We have a wonderful time at the Panda reserve in Chengdu. Our guide Maggie was very delightful. We managed to see around 20 plus pandas in the reserve and observed one panda feeding and two fighting! The Jin Sha site museum was a welcome addition to our trips in terms of history and culture. Thank you Travel China Guide and also to Maggie, our tour guide. She was very informative and helpful.

Chengdu short but great experience
Our guide Connie Tang, and driver Mr.wong, showed is the Panda refuge, and the highlights of Chengdu. Mr Wong is An experience, and save driver.

Connie guided us at the right time through the refuge and had great knowledge about the Panda's. She told us with great knowledge, and Passion about her City, Chengdu, and the layback livestile.

My visit to Chengdu was an absolute highlight of my trip to China, thanks to a perfectly planned day that combined natural wonder, culture, and stunning modern architecture.

The day started with a visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. It was incredible to see these adorable animals up close in a habitat that clearly prioritizes their well-being. Watching them munch on bamboo was a truly joyful and heartwarming experience. This was followed by a trip to a fascinating museum (I believe it was the Jinsha Site Museum), which provided a deep and interesting dive into the region's ancient history.

The evening brought a completely different but equally amazing spectacle: a visit to the Twin Towers. When illuminated at night, the LED strips on the towers create a breathtaking display. From a distance, the effect is so seamless it looks like a giant, beautiful digital screen painting the sky. It was a mesmerizing sight and a must-see for any photographer.

However, the true star of our tour was our guide, Joy. Her command of English is excellent, making every explanation clear and easy to understand. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and her hospitality was second to none. She truly went above and beyond to ensure our group had a fantastic and comfortable experience.

If you are booking a trip to Chengdu, I would highly recommend requesting Joy as your guide. Her expertise and warm personality made the day truly special. A 5-star experience all around Less
