Xi'an - Hot hot hot. roger led us with huge skill around the T Army and Xian including a bike ride on the city walls, 14km not for the fainthearted.
Chengdu - lovely Bella took us around but the best was the Chengdu Panda Centre, what an amazing place for the pandas to live in
River Cruise - 4 days along the "long" river, the Yangste; including the mega 3 Gorges Dam. Steven was a great cruise guide as was Max on the dam.
Chongqing - only a few hours but a fab punk cyber city explored with Richard
Guilin - Ada took us on the brilliant Guilin, what a place, limestone peaks and the rice terraces are simply breathtaking
Hong Kong - we added this in separately and TCG sorted hotel and transport there. Disneyland and a cruise to watch the lights in the harbour
Shanghai - 3 to 4 days and 1 full sightseeing day with Julia. Took us to a great lunch and also a lovely cruise overlooking the Bund. We also did Disney again.
Food, accommodation, transport, drivers, guides - it was just perfect and a great family - 3 generations - holiday of a lifetime. Our journey started at the magnificent Forbidden City, where Lisa brought the history to life with fascinating stories and insights about the emperors and their traditions. From there, we walked up to Jingshan Park and enjoyed an incredible panoramic view over the ancient rooftops of the Forbidden City and the city beyond — a truly breathtaking spot.
The highlight of the day was, of course, the Great Wall. Lisa guided us through its history and helped us fully appreciate the scale and beauty of this wonder of the world. She also made sure we had plenty of time for photos and to simply take in the scenery.
Thanks to Lisa, the day was not only informative but also relaxed and enjoyable. We felt well taken care of from beginning to end. Highly recommended! Less - Jason8612Great tour, efficient and detailed. The tour was great. Helen took care of me (and the rest of the small group), showing us all the sites of the Forbidden city, avoiding long queues and packed places. She knew where to go, where to take photos, and was knowledgeable in the history with nice explanations. Overall, a very enjoyable day.
Thank you Helen for a memorable trip siteseeing the main sights in Beijing. - yellowcockatielEnjoyed the tour with HelenWe had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Helen. She was knowledgeable and engaging, giving us clear explanations of the historical and cultural significance of both the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China. Her passion for sharing Beijing’s heritage made the tour both insightful and memorable.
- Steffen BGreat tour even if things changeIt was a great tour. Our tour guide Helen has been very competent and friendly. She provided assistance from before the tour, to dropping us off at a location of choice.
We had to navigate a few changes in the itinerary as Tianmen Square and Mutianyu Section were closed on short notice. Helen did a great job and arranged alternatives.
We had plenty of time to explore the forbidden city and Badoling Section of the Great Wall, instead.

- MarraamAmazing Xi’AN experienceOur Xi’an tour with Roger was absolutely amazing! We started with the breathtaking Terracotta Warriors — truly overwhelming to see this incredible army of terracotta soldiers and learn the history behind them. Roger shared so many fascinating stories that made the visit even more special.
After that, we visited the beautiful Pagoda, the city wall, and the vibrant Muslim Street, each giving us a deeper sense of Xi’an’s culture and history.

- Rambo RFrom Cool to Unforgettable — Thanks, Celine!Today I got to see the Terracotta Army, and honestly The warriors were incredible — but Celine, our guide, made the whole thing next-level. She’s the kind of person who’s so informative without ever making it feel like a lecture. Incredibly friendly, crystal-clear with directions, and her communication was on point every single step of the way.
She kept the vibe open for questions and conversation, always smiling, always engaging. Celine took this experience from “cool” to “unforgettable.” MoreToday I got to see the Terracotta Army, and honestly The warriors were incredible — but Celine, our guide, made the whole thing next-level. We learned a lot when visiting Zhujiajiao, Yu Garden, and about the European quarter while on the river cruise. He was also very helpful if we had any difficulty translating things, and gave us great suggestions on food/restaurants to try, as well as places to visit in our free time. I would recommend Kris as a guide, and would love to visit Shanghai again.

For a Li River cruise,Joanne provided a packed lunch for us in case the food on board was not to our taste. As we spent most of the day on the viewing deck we did not experience the meal service. The scenery was spectacular and Joanne pointed out certain landmarks for us .When we disembarked our driver was on hand to bring us to the next experience which was a E Bike ride in the countryside along the river viewing rice, corn and water chestnut fields along with the spectacular scenery.Totally amazing.
After a hotel stay and dinner in pedestrian street Yangshuo, next morning we were off up the mountains to a viewpoint which overlooked the Li river(lots of steps) with amazing panoramic views. After some fantastic driving along narrow and winding roads we arrived back in Guilin for an overnight stay at a hotel. That evening we got to experience the pedestrian street in Guilin and had dinner. The following morning we were driven to the Airport by our Travel China companions and after assistance at check in we departed to Xian.

Samantha, our guide, was passionate about the area and the people and gave us lots of information and recommendations for food and a spectacular evening show on the river.
The Li River cruise was definitely a highlight of our holiday. - Diana TBeautiful Guilin with AdaIn each city we had a different tour guide and driver. Most were professionals ready to help and assist. But in Guilin our guide was Ada. Ada is a completely different level of guide. With her you don't think about anything, you just enjoy the beautiful Guilin because she has already thought for you. With Ada it's like being with your best friend.
