Unforgettable day at the Great Wall and Forbidden City with Rocky!
We had an amazing time exploring Beijing’s most iconic landmarks with Rocky. He guided us through the massive Forbidden City and took us to the Great Wall, making sure we understood the incredible history behind both sites. What made the tour even more special was that Rocky is a fantastic photographer! He took so many wonderful photos of us at all the best viewpoints, so we could just enjoy the moment without worrying about our cameras. Rocky is professional, energetic, and a great storyteller. Great experience around Beijing
We had an incredible day exploring Beijing with our guide, Michael Ren. He took us to the stunning Summer Palace, where he shared fascinating stories about its history, and the peaceful Lama Temple, which was a true highlight of our trip. One of the best parts was exploring the traditional Hutongs; Michael organized a rickshaw ride for us that was both fun and authentic. Travel China Guide can be trusted.
I went on the7-day Classic Xinjiang Tour. I had an amazing experience. The guides and the hotels were very good. I went from the top of snow-capped mountains to the deserts and befriended many Uyghurs on the way. I went from the top of snow-capped mountains to the deserts and befriended many Uyghurs on the way. I was hesitant to book with Travel China Guide initially, but after lengthy email exchanges with Kina, I took the plunge and decided to book with her. As a westerner, we are worried about online scams, and I was worried about booking with a China-based company. I wasn't sure if they were registered or even genuine. Being able to connect with Kina via Wechat was an important factor as I knew that Wechat users have to provide genuine ID before being registered and this would be a deterrent for scammers. However, having said that, I do think that TCG could have been more transparent and actually told me that they didn't operate the actual tour and had given me the name of the actual tour operator. I say this because I saw the same tour being advertised by other tour companies and there was conflicting information about the tour itinerary and the starting dates. This added to my anxiety about which of the tour resellers were genuine. I hope my comments will help CTG to better reassure foreigners who contact them in the future. Less

Great tour with Roger — excellent Terracotta Warriors and City Wall explanations.
We had a wonderful day on this tour. Roger was a fantastic guide — very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and explained the Terracotta Army and Chinese history clearly and engagingly.

The tour was well organised, family-friendly, and never rushed. Roger made sure everyone was comfortable and included. The City Wall was a great highlight. A very enjoyable and informative experience — highly recommended.

Xi'an tour of Terracotta Warriors and City Gate
We took the tour on 22 Dec that consists of both Terracotta Warriors and City Gate. Our guide Rita was excellent. She had a vast knowledge of the area of Xi'an and the history of the Terracotta Warriors and the soldiers. It was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you Rita for making our family trip to Xi'an a memorable one.

    Great half-day tour
Lily, our tour guide was great. She spoke fluent English and had extensive knowledge about Xian, Qi Dynasty and the Terracotta Warriors. She answered all of our questions.

The minibus ride was clean and bottle water was provided. There was also no pressure from anyone to buy any souvenir. I highly recommend the half day tour.

    Highly recommended tour
Our tour guide, Jacky, took us to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, the pagoda, and the Xi’an City Wall. Throughout the day, he shared engaging and insightful background information about each site, and his English was very good. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour, with a big shout-out to Jacky for making our day trip in Xi’an such a fulfilling and memorable experience.

James: A Knowledgeable, Accessible Guide to Shanghai
We were in excellent hands with James. He is very knowledgeable about Shanghai and about China in general - its history, traditions, and economy. He guided us throughout the main visits included in our tour, explaining things in detail at all attractions. He also provided tips on where to go at night, where to eat (especially traditional Shanghainese food), and other places of interest to visit. He speaks very good English and was available via WeChat at all times during our stay in Shanghai.

Did a last minute booking because I was not prepared for how big Shanghai was and was able to secure a private all day tour. An excellent day tour of Shanghai
We had a great tour with our guide Helen. Everything went smoothly from the hotel pick up to the hotel drop off. Lunch was included at a very nice Chinese restaurant and we finished the day with some time in the Shanghai museum. An excellent day out with a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend More

    GORGEOUS GUILIN
My wife and I recently undertook a trip to China which saw us visit the cities of Guangzhou, Guilin, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Shanghai. It is easy to see why people rate Guilin as the most beautiful place in China. Of course, the 4 hour cruise down the Li River is a must and an experience not to be missed or forgotten. Another outstanding "feature" of our time in Guilin was our tour guide, Oscar Lu. He was not only knowledgeable about the place but he also made his narratives so interesting. Above all, he was always sensitive and attentive to our needs and always looked at things from our perspective. When it was time for our train trip to Chongqing, he gave us a map of the station in Chongqing so that we would know exactly where to go when we got there. He even gave us the name and contact number of the person who was meeting us. Having missed our guide at another station, we greatly appreciated this thoughtful gesture on Oscar's part. Once again, A HUGE THANK YOU, OSCAR!

Best tour guide ever - Guilin
I have traveled all over the world and been lucky enough to have many, many amazing tour guides. Lily is the best of the best. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and kind, nurturing, fun, funny, flexible, and an all-around amazing human. Very good experience
I did the 3 day Guilin tour, with this day tour included. Our guide, Monica, spoke excellent English and was very proactive in explaining the history and culture of Guilin to us. The tour company also catered well to our dietary requirements, which I appreciated. They also organised good quality hotels and a driver for us. The Li river cruise was also of high quality, and the scenery was beautiful. No negative experiences.

We did this day trip through an organised 10 day tour of China. Julie and our driver were punctual and polite. Julie was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fabulous time with the Pandas and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the day visiting the historical sites. Julie gave us a small gift of a fan which we decorated with calligraphy and pictures whilst we had traditional tea in peoples park. A really lovely day Julie thank you.

    Pandas and all things nice!
Chengdu was really fun to visit. Of course, seeing the pandas was the highlight but Chengdu had a lot more to offer. The Jinsha Site museum was beautiful and the People's park was fun! Our guide, Julie was lovely and helped us spot pandas and take photos. She also took us to a brilliant coffee place and helped us with organising lunch. She had a lovely sense of humour and was a delightful guide.
