Amazing Small Group Tour with Helen!
We joined the small group tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and Mutianyu Great Wall, and it was truly one of the best experiences of our Beijing trip!

Our guide Helen was amazing, she is very nice, friendly, and patient, and she always made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. She shared many interesting stories and historical details, which made each place come alive. Her explanations were clear and engaging, and she also helped us take many beautiful photos!

Best tour to know Beijing's musts with the best guide!
Helen is simply the gold standard of tour guides in Beijing. If I could give her 10 stars, I would.

She and her colleague driver arrived at our hotel exactly on time on a freezing Beijing morning.

She had already purchased all entrance tickets in advance (Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and Mutianyu Great Wall), which saved us hours of queuing in the cold. Her knowledge is incredibly yet never overwhelming, as she shared historical details, insider photography spots, the best routes to take, and even gave us options for how we wanted our Great Wall climb to be.

The vehicle was spotless with plenty of legroom, comfortable seats, and great heating when it was –°C outside. Bottled water and a lively snack were provided throughout the day.

Zero forced shopping stops, and for lunch near the Great Wall, she simply shared several excellent options, then let us choose exactly what we wanted.

We left Beijing feeling we had not only seen the must-see sights, but truly understood and appreciated them, thanks to Helen's passion and expertise.

Great experience with Terracotta Warriors and city!
Had a fabulous day on this tour. Super easy for solo travelers, guide Lily picked me up at my hotel and we then stopped at two additional hotels. Group size about 10-12 people. Highly recommend this tour for China visit
This tour you will learn a lot of Chinese history, we have Carol in Xi’an. She tell us a lot of Chinese history. She was the best tour guide we had. We learned many new information that we recommend you learn. It was one of the best experiences working and learning from Carol. Best trip to China ever!!!

We had a great tour with Celine to visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum, followed by the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Xi’an City Wall. Throughout the tour, Celine shared a lot of fascinating history about China and the city of Xi’an. We really enjoyed all the information and appreciated the time we spent at each place.

During the preparation of the trip, I was in contact with Kina Lu, who turned out to be exceptional in assisting me: she suggested booking an early check-in at the hotel since I would be arriving in Beijing at 5 a.m., and this allowed me to handle the jet lag smoothly. She also provided me with all the information I needed to get around in China.

During the tour, I greatly appreciated the organization, the quality of the service, and the professionalism of the guides.

Kevin guided us in Beijing, Carol in Xi’an, and Monica in Guilin.

They are all very skilled, knowledgeable, and always available. It is not easy to navigate the massive crowds of tourists in China and find people who speak good English. During the trip, the guides kept the group united and always managed to spark interest with their explanations.

Carol, in particular, proved to be far above expectations thanks to her maturity, her ability to anticipate the needs of the travelers, her knowledge of history and the places we visited, and her skill in leading the group through complex and challenging sites.

Definitely worth it
Did a last minute booking because I was not prepared for how big Shanghai was and was able to secure a private all day tour. An excellent day tour of Shanghai
We had a great tour with our guide Helen. Everything went smoothly from the hotel pick up to the hotel drop off. Helen guided us through the beautiful Yu Garden after which we had some free time to explore the adjacent shops. Then we were driven to the Bund area for an hour long boat tour on the Huangpu river. Lunch was included at a very nice Chinese restaurant and we finished the day with some time in the Shanghai museum. An excellent day out with a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend More

Lovely Shanghai!
We had a wonderful trip to Shanghai!

Our accommodations were amazing. We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the center of the city. We enjoyed a tour of Shanghai Tower which had an incredible view of the city. Day cruise, beautiful lunch, tea tasting and shopping helped round out our first day. The second day we made a drive to the famous Tongli Water Town. What a history lesson to be had! We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful area. 2 nights at the Shangri La (superb) in Guilin and one night in Yangshuo. We did the Li river cruise, the night spectacular (rivals Fantastmic), bamboo river rafting, biking through rice fields, tasting fruit, climbing 500 steps up a mountain for gorgeous views, an evening lake cruise downtown Guilin, tea tasting and much more. What a treat. Our guide Samantha was the best part of this leg of our trip!

I have traveled all over the world and been lucky enough to have many, many amazing tour guides. Lily is the best of the best. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and kind, nurturing, fun, funny, flexible, and an all-around amazing human. It's not often that a tourist would visit a tourist destination and leave missing the tour guide the most, but I feel like I made a lifelong friend in Lily Cao and I'm so grateful to have had the privilege of being guided through beautiful Guilin by her. Very good experience
I did the 3 day Guilin tour, with this day tour included. Our guide, Monica, spoke excellent English and was very proactive in explaining the history and culture of Guilin to us. The tour company also catered well to our dietary requirements, which I appreciated. They also organised good quality hotels and a driver for us. The Li river cruise was also of high quality, and the scenery was beautiful. No negative experiences.

Sunny day and sunny LongSheng Terraces
Private tour in LongJi rice Terraces in one day. My guide was Monica who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She asked me my intentions for that day and made everything to give me a complete tour of those hills and a relaxing walk through that scenery. Before reaching the train station we also had time for some walk in Guilin city center where she explained to me some nice features and past history of the city. Chengdu day trip
A 1 day trip to Chengdu. Our tour guide Charles was excellent. He showed us the beautiful City of Chengdu. Our first stop was the Panda Research Center. It was a lot of fun seeing so many Giant Panda’s, some sleeping perched high in the trees, others eating and being playful. Next, we had an authentic Sichuan lunch, Charles ordered for us, everything was delicious, especially the beef, pork and vegetable dishes. Our next stop was Kuanzhai Alley, a lively area. A 1 day trip to Chengdu. Our tour guide Charles was excellent. He showed us the beautiful City of Chengdu. Our first stop was the Panda Research Center. Chengdu - Pandas and Parks
We did this day trip through an organised 10 day tour of China. Julie and our driver were punctual and polite. Julie was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fabulous time with the Pandas and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the day visiting the historical sites. Julie gave us a small gift of a fan which we decorated with calligraphy and pictures whilst we had traditional tea in peoples park. A really lovely day Julie thank you.

Pandas and all things nice!
Chengdu was really fun to visit. Of course, seeing the pandas was the highlight but Chengdu had a lot more to offer. The Jinsha Site museum was beautiful and the People's park was fun! Our guide, Julie was lovely and helped us spot pandas and take photos. She also took us to a brilliant coffee place and helped us with organising lunch. She had a lovely sense of humour and was a delightful guide.

Panda sweet hospitality
Visiting Chengdu was an amazing experience but what made the whole experience more carefree was our guide Mrs. Claire Chen. One of the most smiling, polite, kind and knowledgeable guides we had. Great Panda Experience
We have a wonderful time at the Panda reserve in Chengdu. Our guide Maggie was very delightful. We managed to see around 20 plus pandas in the reserve and observed one panda feeding and two fighting! The Jin Sha site museum was a welcome addition to our trips in terms of history and culture. Thank you Travel China Guide and also to Maggie, our tour guide. She was very informative and helpful.
