Budapest Tour with Danube Bend

At the beginning of our trip, you will be greeted on your arrival at Budapest Airport. Our local driver will welcome you with a board at the arrival hall, and then transfer you to the hotel in downtown, taking around half an hour. In the rest time of this day, you are free for your own arrangements.

Our professional guide will accompany you to enjoy a full day trip in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. He or she will introduce you the thousand years old history of this city, while sightseeing in Buda and Pest. The most famous ones we will visit include the Saint Stephen's Basilica, one of the two oldest buildings in Budapest, and which provides you an opportunity to overlook the city on the top; the Fisherman's Bastion, a highlight today, where you can also get a full view of Budapest; and the Heroes Square with an old monument and a few sculptures of noted Hungarian historical figures. In addition, we will make a stop to admire the exterior of the Hungarian Parliament Building, one of the oldest legislatures in Europe. Visiting the UNESCO-listed Buda Castle area is another highlight on today's Budapest city tour, as you'll be guided to see the enormous ancient royal palace complex and learn the Hungarian history as well as architecture. The lunch will be arranged in the heart of Castle district. Later, we will arrange a one hour Danube river boat cruise with a drink for you.

Today, our trip will be extended to the Danube bend. The guide will pick you up from the hotel and lead you to the Danube bend, by 1.5 hours' drive. During the following visit, we will make stops in Esztergom, Visegrad and Szentendre - three most beautiful towns along the Danube bend. In Esztergom, we will have an indoor visit in the Basilica, which is considered to be the largest cathedral in Hungary; and then pay a short visit to Parkany (Slovakia). In Visegrad, we will make an indoor visit to the Royal Palace, and have lunch in the town. Getting to Szentendre, the guide will escort you to travel around the old artistic town on foot, followed by an indoor visit of the Marzipan Museum to witness a fantastic world made of marzipan. After the free time for souvenir shopping in Szentendre, this Danube bend tour will come to the end. Then, you'll be transferred back to the hotel in Budapest.
