Day 2 Private transfer from Amman to Dead Sea, with the visits of Madaba & Mt. Nebo
After breakfast, your English-speaking driver will pick you up on time and drive you to visit Madaba, a historical city wildly known for a great concentration of Byzantine-Umayyad era churches and mosaics. From the floor of the Church of Saint George, you can see the world's oldest map of the Holy Land, formed by millions of mosaic pieces and showing major biblical sites.

Afterwards, the driver will send you to sightsee the Mt. Nebo. It has extraordinary religious importance to Jordan. As recorded by the Bible, it is the place where Moses saw the Holy Land granted by God just before his death and scholars also believed that Moses was buried somewhere at the mountain. Mount Nebo is about 710 meters (2,330 feet) high and its top offers an expansive view of Jordan Valley, Jerusalem and even the Dead Sea on a clear day. Next, we will drive to the Dead Sea, located 430 meters (1,410 feet) below the sea level, the lowest point on the surface of the earth, truly "the navel of the world". After checking in the local hotel, you can enjoy your floating in the Dead Sea mineral water and viewing its unique landscape.

Day 3 Drive from Dead Sea to visit "Rose-Red City" Petra
In the morning, we will drive 2 hours to Petra. As the saying goes that no visit to Jordan is complete without spending a day exploring Petra, therefore it is a must-see attraction in any Jordan holiday packages. Petra, once the capital of Nabataean Kingdom, is a historical city half-built and half-caved into surrounding mountains. It is also called the "Rose City" due to the rose-red color of its stunning sandstone architecture. Here you will explore the remarkable city in the company of a professional spot guide.

You'll first ride a horse at the city's gate to Siq, a deep narrow gorge with steep walls up to 70 meters (230 feet), and then walk through the gorge to visit Al-Khazneh Temple. The temple is one of the most elaborate and representative architectures of Petra, which was cut into the rock face of a cliff in the 1st century and features prominent Greek-style architectural designs. After the visit to this temple, you can spend some time exploring the rest places of the city alone, such as the Monastery and the Street of Facades.

Day 4 Journey from Little Petra to Wadi Rum, Aqaba
Today we will drive north to the Little Petra located 9 km (5.6 mi) away. Inside the sandstone canyons of Little Petra, there is similar rock-cut architecture with the larger city to the south. Archeologists believe it was the suburb of Petra and used to house the trade caravan on the Silk Road.

Afterwards, we will go north to Wadi Rum, 1.5 hours' drive from Little Petra. It is a beautiful valley cut into the red sandstone rocks and Basalt Mountains on a high plateau of Arabian Desert. With a sea of rippled red sand dunes, strange rock formations, brilliant night sky, a sense of remote wilderness, you can see a dramatic moon-like landscape, hence it was nicknamed "the Valley of the Moon". You will have a 4-hour jeep tour to discover the valley, meet the desert dwellers Bedouin and drink tea with them, and watch the spectacular sunset. Then we will drive an hour to Aqaba, the only coastal city in Jordan, and check in the local hotel.

Accommodation: InterContinental Aqaba Hotel
Day 5 Departure from Aqaba
The seaside city of Aqaba, with sweeping beaches, warm and clear waters, colorful coral gardens, and numerous wrecks on the sea bed, is a paradise for scuba diving and snorkeling. On the free day at Aqaba, you can spend a half-day experiencing scuba diving or snorkeling or just simply go for a walk at its old town to sightsee the ancient remains like Mamluk Castle. It's also interesting to try some local specialties and have a look at its featured handicraft stores.

At the end of the itinerary, our driver will send you to the airport at Aqaba. From Aqaba, if you want to cross the border to Elite in Israel or boat to Nuweiba of Egypt, we can arrange such kinds of transfer services at a preferential price for you. Thanks for booking the tour. Wish you all the best!
