Brief Introduction

Headquartered in Seoul, Asiana Airlines was incorporated on February 17, 1988. It is the second major airlines in South Korea, and has 67 planes, traveling to 14 domestic and 45 international cities by the end of June, 2003. Asiana Airlines is committed to offering its passengers the highest safety and service standards in the industry. In addition to passenger transportation, Asiana Airlines also possesses thriving cargo transportation, and is also engaged in engineering, construction, ground handling, catering, communication, and e-business. Asiana joined the prestigious Star Alliance, which is one of the three largest international airlines alliances, allowing it to enter new opportunities and expand its business worldwide.

Routes to China and Japan account for the major part of Asiana Airlines’ market share. Among all the non-Chinese airlines, Asiana Airlines is number one in terms of routes flown and the passenger volume to & from China. Destinations in China include: Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Beijing, Dalian, Tianjin, Yantai, Qingdao, Xian, Nanjing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Guilin, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
