Brief Introduction
Developed from its predecessor, Vietnam Civil Aviation Bureau, Vietnam Airlines was officially set up in 1996 and is the largest airlines in Vietnam. During the past 10 years, it has made enormous strides in improving its services. Up to the end of 2006, its planes have spread their wings to 25 international cities and 22 domestic cities.
Hub: Vietnam Airline mainly depends on the largest two airports in the country – Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Noi Bai International Airport.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport, located seven kilometers (4.3 miles) to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, is the largest airport in the country. It has been put into use since 1930. In 2005, the airport handled 50% of the passenger volume. The new terminal building for international flights was finished in 2007. Now the annual passenger volume can be up to 10 million.
Noi Bai International Airport is the second largest airport in Vietnam. Located in Hanoi, the capital city of the country, the airport is 45 kilometers (28 miles) from the downtown area.
Aircraft types: To date, Vietnam Airlines has established its own fleet with about 36 airplanes in total. American Boeing is the major type of the aircrafts in operation, including four Boeing 777s and seven Boeing 767s. Others include four European Airbus 321s, ten Airbus 320s, nine French ATR-72s and two Dutch aircraft Fokker F70s.

Can anyone guide and help?
I will be in Hanoi in middle August and would like to travel to Sanya, Hainan. Please adv best way to travel and shortest time? Can I go by ferry to Sanya from Halong Bay?
Please help?

Mr.Arthur (America) replied:
You can fly to Guangzhou first and then transfer a flight to Sanya. I consider this should be the best way. I see package tour by ferry from Sanya to Halong Bay is available two or three times one month, maybe there is ferry from Halong Bay to Hainan. But the journey from Sanya to Halong Bay by ferry will take four days and three nights.
